Anno 2070
0
Posted from Wikipedia:
It is set in the year 2070. Global warming has melted the Arctic ice cap, which has raised the global sea level so high that what used to be mountains are all that remains of land.
The game has three factions: The Eden Initiative (referred to as the 'Ecos'), The Global Trust (referred to as the 'Tycoons'), and the S.A.A.T(referred to as the 'Tech'). Ecos are environmental and build sustainable cities but are inefficient and slow to expand. Tycoons are industrious and expand quickly but have problems with pollution and dwindling resources. The Tech is a support faction available to the other two, and they are useful in researching the latest and most powerful technologies.
Genre: RTS, Economy Management, City Builder
Mode: Single Player, Multiplayer
Platforms: Microsoft Windows, Max OSX

Even more complicated than 1701 or 1404. I love and hate it.Didn't know you were into Anno, Teg. There's a few more complications like the eco balance, but they simplified a few things. You don't need to produce nearly as many goods to keep your citizens happy.

this makes me want to dig up all of my anno games.
remembers how badly economic aware I was. I always ended up in the red with my money XD

The new one is pretty good, and much more accessible to main stream players. Anyone who is a veteran of Anno will feel right at home still, though. The addition of Eco creates some interesting effects. The island will change in appearance pretty drastically depending on how badly you abuse it.

Easier? Haha, not really.Oh, it sounds like you already picked it up. What's your Anno screen name? PM it to me eh, or just add mine iviajoi2n. i've been hard pressed to find English speaking multiplayer games. Everyone who plays this is German or French.

Never played any of the Anno games, but I'm into super-macro games.. is it good?Depends, it's probably one of the last good City Builder games. The RTS combat is solid, but it isn't as complex as say Starcraft 2 or Warhammer. If you're into games like Tropico, Simcity, City Life or the old Sierra Builders Pharaoh, Zeus and Middle Kingdom. This should be right up your alley.
It requires a lot more micro management then your standard Economy Management/City Builder game though. It's worth a try, you can buy it on steam right now for 50 bucks i believe. i wouldn't suggest getting it anywhere else but steam, because of Ubisofts annoying DRM.

or the internet. As of a day ago, there was still no working crack out. The game is largely below the radar of most scene groups.

That's ok.
Just went to check the store and the game costs P1250 or $29.
Although, I'm sorta busy playing BF3, Skyrim and Tribes, not to mention eternally stuck playing Shogun 2 online, so I'll probably be picking it up.. by summer.
