80's Thrash Metal Mega Groups!
Who's Your Favorite?
0
So yeah.
Looking back at the 80's, it was a hell of a time for Thrash, i mean look at Metallica's "Kill em All", Slayer's "Hell Awaits", Exodus' "Bonded by Blood", Megadeth's "Killing is my Business... and Business is Good!", Overkill's self titled album, and Anthrax's "Fistful of Metal"
My personal favorite band is Metallica, so they're on top for me :)
Now, i just want this to be a poll, not some sissy fight over who's better, everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and if someone thinks a different group is better, fine, that's what they think, no whining.
I just want to see how many people like different bands.
Have Fun,
-The Fakkuist.

If we're considering these bands during their primes, then my vote goes to Metallica, mostly because of Burton's contributions to the band back then (I'm not just praising the guy because he's dead; he had some serious composing skills as well, as evidenced in Ride the Lightning).
However, if we're considering the bands as they are now, my vote would go to Megadeth, simply because I believe they've been able to keep consistent quality in their songs (hell, I actually love Mustaine's low modern growls more than his high-pitched singing back in the day).
So yeah, either of the two. I'd consider the others more if I actually listened to them as much.

My vote goes to Eduard Khil with his single, Я очень рад, ведь Ñ, наконец, возвращаюÑÑŒ домой.

I like all of the above actually, but if I picked one it would have to be Metallica especially around that time. they released alot of great songs that still hold the test of time today, now thats not taking away from the other bands that have released quite a bit as well. but in all reality its tough just to pick one...I mean who could?

I have to say that Kreator is my favorite thrash metal band to come from the 80s, but of the bands on that poll I picked Slayer.

Umm... no, they most certainly are not.
EDIT: However Maiden, and the NWOBHM did help influence the sub-genre that would become Thrash Metal.

I am sad that Testament is not on this list or Kreator so my vote goes to Megadeth.
