[Locked] "Hentai" Tag

I got on after the update and generally like what I see. One thing, however, caught my attention. The new "Hentai" tag. I think it's generally understood that most of the content, indeed the very essesnce of this site, is hentai. I now that we post ecchi with little to no hentai in it occasionally, but is a tag that will be on just about all posts nessesary? I think most of the users on this site understand and come to this site for hentai, so it kinda seems redundant to me to at a tag to every post saying "Hey! I see you're on a hentai site! you may not know what hentai is, so let me hightlight what it is! (highlights entire archive)" I'm a beleiver in common sense, and this just doesn't make sense to me. I think most of us know what hentai is at this point, or else we wouldn't be here.

And also the tag is there for Ecchi fans, who don't like hentai.

I don't see the problem in it. I just ignore it and read what I want to read be it hentai or ecchi

[color=#2e1a6b]I think the hentai tag is completely unnecessary. Awhile ago someone suggested a vaginal tag since we have an anal tag, but everyone rejected that because it would be too common. I don't understand how now we're defending a tag as common as "hentai".

Anything that doesn't have an ecchi tag is hentai, so there's never any question whether something is hentai or not.

If you think it's helpful for searches so you can search "vanilla oppai hentai", you can search the same thing by typing "vanilla oppai -ecchi"

I don't care that much, but it is annoying for me to have that text which I must constantly ignore (just like PumpJack McGee's sig)

it also seems lazy to me. like they can't be bothered to put the proper tags, just slap the hentai tag on and let the helpers sort it out.

even insulting. after all the constant responses to decent suggestions of "no new tags!". might as well have a 2D tag too. it would be as useful.

It does seem to be alot of effort for minimal gain. Can kind of understand why it's there though.

How is that lazy? what you're suggesting would take the exact same amount of time/effort.

The tag system we currently have in place is in line with the wishes of the site owner and thus is working as intended, you can suggest anything you want but we don't have to take your suggestion. Why do you always come off as upset about it? Make your own site if you don't like the way Fakku is run.

The hentai tag has been added to differentiate between ecchi, hentai, yuri, and yaoi.

Exactly... also, I am pretttty sure I recall a thread of at least a handful of folks complaining and wanting it.

Maybe i'm misunderstanding the whole concept of the tags. i thought it was to sort out the sub sets. since this is a hentai site, with the majority of uploads(including yaoi and yuri) being hentai, i fail to see how the tag accomplishes anything. like i said before, it's as useful as would be a 2D tag.

a non-hentai tag would have made more sense.

Exactly my point. I was under the immpression that hentai is pretty much a blanket term for anything peverted, yuri, yaoi, all that included.

Really? Is this tag really needed? Moreover, only one hentai is tagged under this tag!
Perfectly honest, rather than this kind of tag, I'd rather have Mindbreak tag.

If you're gonna start tagging such obvious things, there's a long way ahead.

But seriously, there are a lot of tags which could actually have some use, why not add those instead of such a redundant one? (As it has already been pointed out, this is a hentai site, most of the things posted here are hentai, it is the norm, not the exception)

Because Jacob wanted it... It's really not that hard to understand. I don't get why this even matters, why don't you spend your time thinking about things to add rather than bitching about something that doesn't harm anything.
