Hey chao, where the hell did your RP go to? How could you not invite me?

Ahh... Nice Sub message :3. But either way yeah, Arakawa RP, I wanna start it but I have no clue as to how I'm gonna run it. For the time being we had the idea that we need to elect a mayor and as Jarphones added into the ideas list, we could probably do something like a weekly gag contest :3. As for running a thread, I just probably need some advice on to how to run it. Perhaps something almost as formal as the Waifu game. If you got any advice thanks for the help! Anyone is free to contribute!

I think the director loved the fact he didn't have to do a "finale" with episode three. He probably sat back at his desk, lit up a cigar, smiled, and said "Season two baby, season two..."

Does anyone know if Star ever got his own cd out yet?

I wouldn't have a clue... Haven't read the comic book. Wonder if anyone knows where I can Download it? I'd rather DL than read on stuff like onemanga...

Once it was decided Nino would get a haircut I almost creamed myself, sadly there was very little change ;___; *heart broken*

I'm hoping we'll get season 2 for the winter season, sooner the better no?

It should be ready by fall I'm guessing.

On a side note even Hoshi who prefers short hair was against Nino getting her hair cut and I must agree. Nino looks best with long hair even with bad hair day. ^__^

lol I think he meant a real CD recording with Hoshi's seiyu singing the songs that he did in the anime. Wait, that is what you meant right? Anyway, no I don't think so. Though i did like that one song when he was buying cigerettes in the convenient store.

Hey, why not try wishing upon Star himself? I just had my wish granted for this anime to have a 2nd season you know. It works XD

The OST will probably come out sooner than a hoshi cd ever will that is why I don't think you really need to wish hard for it. It will be out there someday whether you like it or not. And when I suggested that you should make a wish, i meant for you to do it like in episode 12 like this XD

isn't it kind of interesting that hoshi also means want that when you hoshi something that's also when you wish to hoshi?

Just finished watching this series. Can't wait for the next season.

And lol at the 'Screamer'. That is one dangerous ride.

A question to everyone. What was the thing that dragged you to Arakawa Under the Bridge? Was it a sense of interest or was did it look so quirky that it dragged you in? Just interested in what all the members think :3

For me, Arakawa provided me a chance to think and relate. Ric's problems and the residents under the bridge allowed me to feel more at ease whilst watching!

Lol. You do know that Ric IS Zetsubou Sensei right? That's a fair reason to watching this anime. People tend to go towards preferences. It's good to see that people enjoy anime in different forms. AUB is definately like SZS because the animation studio is the same :3. Good ol Shaft. Hope they keep this effort up! I hope you can share some of your insight Raven! I was interested in the series initially due to the fact it was being adapted by SHAFT and that it looked pretty crazy. I read the first chapter and got a good feel from it. But for some reason the first episode didn't give me a good impression, now that I look back on it I'm guessing it was because I knew what was going to happen.

It was episode 2 that dragged me in though and cemented most of my love for the series, and the humour never got old or flat for me. And although it was a humour centred series it still had some nice character development for Ric and Nino, I think we can agree that Ric was not the same person we knew after the series ended.

I'm hoping I love Season 2 as much as I loved the first, and look forward to how much closer Ric and Nino will get.

it was the same seiyu in fact...Kamiya Hiroshi

ANyway I was dragged into this messed up little world down under because i felt jealous of the life of freedom these characters have. I thought...if i can just leave everything behind in my life now and be free just like them...wont that be great?

Your wrong! Ric is not Zetsubou Sensei. Ric IS Himo-sensei...himo himo himo himo himo~ XD

and I didn't think Arakawa is anything like Zetsubou Sensei so it is kind of interesting you said that it's good to see that people enjoy anime in different forms when you didn't even look past the similarities.

If we were all residents of the bridge we'd be living like hobos tho XD. At least we can actually get a good sense of community :3. Sigh. We'd be social outcasts though... Here's a thought, think of being a normal citizen. How would you feel about the people under the bridge?

I know for certain that if I was a normal person, I would have taken Ric's initial approach and try to avoid the residents. If there was really any interaction I woulda tried to change the residents themselves. How about you guys and gals?

what is that suppose to mean that we are not normal citizens? XD But seriously I don't know. In reality I'll probably be to apathetic to care and if ever i get past the too scared to even interact feeling...alas i already think of myself a pig.

I'd say if you can't change them...join them! ^__^

Umm... Yah. There is plenty of material. The comic book is still going I believe. I ask you CloudGx20, what got you into this anime? I'm curious as to what attracted people to this anime :3. It holds for a good topic as many people have different views!

I'd say the sheer craziness of the first episode dragged me in. Hook. Line. And Sinker.

For the most part, I didn't even think that the show has the capability to extend beyond the normal parameters of a gag series, and yet, they did just that by evoking strong dramatic emotions from the viewers. Not yet tear jerky -- but close.

I guess...

IT EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!

Ahahahahaha XD. I guess you love human beings to eh? Arakawa UB definately exceeds expectations. Still yearning for more but it will come in time :3. I push another question to the people of the AUB thread!

What was your favourite scene and why?

My fave scene was still the meeting between Ric and Nino. So conincidental that both Ric and Papa went through the same shit XD. I believe that fate was what drew these troublemakers together via the event of naive youths XD. The scene that started it all!!! Best thing EVER!
