[color=#2e1a6b]I have seen many horrible calls by these refs, mostly related to pass-interference and forward progress. Despite this, I'm really getting annoyed with everyone's reaction to the replacement officials. These refs are unpredictable as to what they'll call and what they won't, but the bad calls usually are
evenly distributed between both teams. These refs just give everyone an excuse for when their team loses.
I thought they made the right call at the end of the Packers-Seahawks game. I've seen numerous plays in which both receivers and defenders simultaneously caught it, and the experienced referees would rule it a catch. Even though Jennings had much more control of it, he didn't pull it away from the seahawk reciever, so it was a draw, therefore a catch.
define "evenly" I'm used to bad calls but when you have calls that make Russian roulette more fair then we have a big problem, and as for excuses, I generally hate excuses but there is a thin line between excuses and being justified
I wiped that game from my head...I don't need to go do something more relaxing like drive a car in San Fransisco traffic
[color=#2e1a6b]Well, when I say evenly, I mean that both teams are equally screwed by the refs. For example, when I play Basketball, I'm always stuck with horrible refs that will ignore blatant fouls. Since they ignore blatant fouls for
both teams, the bad calls are evenly made for each team.
I saw some ridiculous pass-interference called, but in most games the pass interference was called on both teams. It certainly is frustrating to deal with horrible refs; I deal with them all the time. It just seems like these refs have opened doors for excessive excuses.
Packers fans are blaming the replacement refs for their loss, when I think the experienced refs would have made the same call. IMO, the refs are not a justified excuse
My coach tells me to never complain about the refs and just win by a large margin so that we don't have to worry about what the refs call
