The police already have access to your prints. In the second grade my entire class was finger printed and had out prints sent to the FBI database (For preemptive measures).

I do agree with the clearly defined right and wrong doctrines though I disagree with heavily armed police trolling the cities. It would be just another way to enforce the will of the ruling party. In a situation like that constitutional rights mean nothing because if you rebel or speak out you could be slain. Who is going to stop them? They have more firepower than the average citizen and greater numbers than a single man or a few people.

Plus, better equipped police means more money is needed. Governments don't "cut back" they just tax more. Which means more money out of my pockets to go to the guys who can push you around and everything is stacked in their favor.

Oh, and who's going to invent the exoskeleton and pay for the gatling gun?

The exoskeleton is being developed by the army right now.

Scanners. Imagine something form a sci-fi flick. Intensive 3D image scanning of a localized area which is compared to a database to check for prints or DNA matches.

I didn't say Robocop should be patrolling the streets, though. I just said that more officers should be hired and spread out to increase 911 response times.

Robocops should be reserved for SWAT. They handle the dangerous work, they get the shiny toys.

Also, Gun control needs to be abolished. Citizens have the right to own weaponry, and less crimes would be committed if there was a serious chance of finding a Glock/Shotgun pointed at you when you burst in through the door/window.

what you are suggesting could possibly lead to another civil war.

before they do that, they should create a self-defense weapon thats paralyzing but isn't lethal.you see, even rubber bullet is lethal if you shoot it from like 10 mtr away.i found taser is the most promising of all.

and no gun control means even i could just buy a gun and shoot at my dad or something like that.seriously, gun is too dangerous without gun control.
i know gun control means nothing in the face of the great black market,but.....

and even good guys can turn into criminal if they are pissed and holding a weapon.

in contrast to your opinion,i think we should just stricken the gun control.

nothing good ever came if we let weapon exist loosely in the world.

or maybe they should abolish gun,but that is impossible.gun is already becoming a huge factor in todays society.nobody could erase their existence,i believe.

I disagree entirely. Having weapons isn't the problem, it's people's upbringing and other issues that cause the violence. If people don't have a gun to commit crimes with they would just use something else, as the last couple thousand years of history have proven.

If the gun laws are too strict, the only people who will have them are corrupt governments that can now take as much power as they want because no one can stop them. Or else organized crime groups who will be able to still get ahold of guns no matter how many laws are against it. Do you really want to live in a world where only the criminals and power hungry governments have guns?
0
but could you imagine if,lets say half of americans (or those peace-loving tibetans) got a gun?it'll be like playing GTA,but the setting is real world.

like i say, even people that is not power hungry or criminals could turn into bad guy if they had weapon.sometimes upbringing is not the case.

i think almost every human is power hungry deep in their hearts.
its just not everyone unleash that side of them.some are able to control.

gun just add too much power to humans.whether good or bad the person is.

like i say,if you want safety,we dont need guns.taser is enough.

but we couldnt possibly erase guns from our society.

i am not entirely disagree with you though.i too don't want that guns are manipulated by jerks.

i don't know, this whole gun thing is always contradictionary.i always cant seem to think of a way to solve this, and dont have the power either.your opinion is not wrong,so does mine, imo.

btw,its going off topic.i'd like to talk about this more, really.if you still want to go at it w/ me, pm me or make a topic about this.

*edit*
or are you suggeting that we should attend behavior/manner/upbringing class instead?
i know where discussion will lead us to.
this'll end in the chicken first,or egg first type of question.

should we do something with weapon first or do something with upbringing first.

It's a big deal in the states. I assume you're talking about lethal injection right?

In my own opinion. I think there should be limits and what not, but I'm also at the same time pretty cold hearted about the issue too. Our tax dollars go to prisons for scum bags to watch cable tv, eat three meals a day, excercise, and have a bed. Sure it's not the Hilton Hotel, but it's a lot better then many low income families.

I don't think there should be an excuse for murder.
And there's many different kinds of murder.

Like unintentional murder. Like a car accident.
I don't believe that kind of murder should involve lethal injection, in fact the fact they killed a person is enough trauma to someone who didn't intend for it to happen. Then to sit in jail time and think about it is awful.

I believe this 'unintentional murder' would be called manslaughter. And the punishment for this depends on how it happened. If you accidentally shoot someone in the face (note that murder is planned) you will probably go to jail for a long, long time. 30+ years maybe, while car accidents will be treated differently.

yeah.....
have somebody see the documentary "Sicko" by michael moore?
it seems that those "mr.bush's-version-of-a-terrorist" even had better medical care than those who have health insurance in the state.....

man thats lots and lots of money.....
i'd say MAYBE(HEED THIS,MAYBE) we should use "kill those who kill" rules.

or the arab rules:
penis for rapist
hand for thief
leg for the runaway criminals
eyes for porn
head for killers.

or maybe we should go like Light(from deathnote) and do the"kill all the bad guys" thingy....

controversial?sure.
inhumane?yes.very.
but is it effective?yes.of course

*edit*
second-thoughts:but if they really do this irl then i'll be a dead guy....
or maybe at least my eyes if they use the arab rule....
oh,and again,MAYBE.

Arabic Rules come from a intolerant, strict, and outdated religious doctrine.

Please do not mention it in the same breath as "Justice".

Ever.

The problems nowadays are as follows, in order of importance:

Greed
Stupidity
Incompetence
Paranoia
People

While greed, stupidity, and people are inherent problems with humans, and cannot be fixed, quite a few issues come from mixing greed, stupidity, and/or people with incompetence and paranoia.

Get rid of those with some solid education, and maybe we can get somewhere.

What the hell I'll play Devil's Advocate. Its his opinion let him have it. Personally, I don't like religion based rule either but, it was rather unprovoked. Anyways, just let'em have their opinions.

I believe a combination of Arizth and my beliefs could serve as a good foundation to deter crime. Good social changes and enforcing harsher punishments.

I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH HIS OPINION

call me stupid.call my posts stupid.whatever.but NOT my religion.
i just want him to delete that "stupid" remarks.write whatever you would like to write:pious,strange,incomperhensible.....

but stupid?that's too much.
true,i hate my own religion.but i don't just go and said that anybody's religion is stupid.

maybe this's contradictionary after i doubted the concept of praying to god etc in my previous posts in other topics but.....
nobody wants to have their respective religion to be called stupid.
even if they kinda hate it.

pardon the out-of-issue-posts.

I don't understand why making fun of or insulting religions is off-limits. I mean, people fucking kill each other over religion all the time. And people make fun of and insult each others families, countries, and political politics as jokes.

Why is religion so off-limits? Personally I don't think it should be. That's your belief on how the world is created and organized, fine, big freakin deal, why is that somehow immune to being made fun of or insulted?

so that we could prevent another killings and religion-based massacre.
and another reasons.if some fanatic islam(bin-laden's aquaintance maybe)
happens to see that,what'll escalate?another 9/11?who knows?lucky i'm on the liberal side.

and HEED this:you all know that calling someone's religion(or/and it rules) stupid would always lead to bad things.(at least ultenth knows VERY WELL)be it in the internet, newspaper, wherever.

i'm not asking much,i'm just asking him to delete,or change it to pious/incomperhensible,etc.
and i'm doing this so nobody'll blame FAKKU and its whole community if that should happen.

Alright, we got a good discussion here...
But once more I must remind you not to bring your racial or religion sentiments/prejudice here......

George Carlin used to say that killing is getting more negotiable...
He maybe right, and I think its all because we're getting lax and lenient about it...
I think capital punishment should still be made viable option, but a harder one, per se...
People who killed others by accidents shouldn't be given capital punishment...
People who killed because of self defense also can't be given such punishment...
People who killed because of social, economic reasons may be rehabilitated, yeah...

However, people who killed a lot of people, people who killed in cold blood, people who kills for the sake of killings should be put down... coz I hate to take chances with such people...
Who would guarantee that they won't do it again?
Rehab them? that's just fucking non-sense... That's like gambling with a lot of risk of losing...
Life time in prison? that's even more fucking shit...
Why would I want them to live comfortably (comfortable for a life time???) after all the mayhem they did? Are you serious??
That is just fucking stupid, especially if I contribute from the tax I paid...
I'm a fucking good tax payer, and I want my tax to be used for something friggin useful... not for supporting the life of people who don't value life...
Oops, I'm ranting to much...

PS: Respect yourself by respecting others. Respect your life by respecting other people's life...

Maybe the problem is in that people take that crap too seriously. I mean, aren't most religions supposedly about tolerance and peace and crap? Too bad they can't practice what they preach. You never see anyone murdering people in the name of science or agnosticism, I don't see why any of the other beliefs on how the world works have to act any differently.

Most religions are supposedly designed to make sure you do good works in life and be good people so you can get into the afterlife. And yet the irony is in that most hardcore religious people focus so much on the religion itself and trying to expand or defend it, that they spend most of their lives living for the health of the religion itself, instead of actually living like the religion says you should. If more people spent more time actually living up to their religious teachings and doing what they preach, and less time worrying about if someone else doesn't believe them or thinks they are stupid, I think the world would be a much better place.
0
Well, in that case, we all should apply some of our religion teachings!
Not all but some... since we still looking at porns...

Okay, lame jokes, back to the topic fellas!

i get your point there.i really do.seriously.
but religion is a very sensitive matter to most asian, and an overly sensitive matter to arabs.
i'm asian,so i'm a bit riled up of that "stupid" thingy.

ok.....seeeee,i'm not asking much....i'm jut asking arizth to delete the stupid part.not much.

and i'm not looking for some kind of war over religion.i'm a peace-loving human.i hate to see people getting killed because of this.

okaaaay.....this topic doesn't belong here.
anybody still not satisfied, please pm me.i'll try to answer it calmly.
so,peace,and back on topic,please.

Guys.

Please.

Calm down.

Look, I've changed the damn thing. I wrote "Stupid" because it was the first word that popped into my mind. However, stupid happens to be the first word that pops into my mind on most religions.

I'll say this only once, while I'm calm:

Do NOT bring your religious insecurities/prejudices/angers onto the internet. The internet does not have a religion. There is no religion on the internet. There are no people on the Internet. You are getting mad at letters. And Words.

And stop derepping me. It's annoying. I liked 15.

That reminds me of a play write that I really loved. The Just Assassins. It was by Albert Camus, and it was basically a story set in Russia and how there is no such thing as real justice.

And yes it was kind've offensive, but I'm not going to be petty enough when you feel it's okay to just dip your stick where ever you please and walk away when you get more then what you bargained for. I'll agree with you that some women take advantage of it. But I'll tell you right now I grew up my whole life with just my mom while my dad didn't do a fucking thing for me. And if you think that's fair then you really need to reevaluate the situation and be aware that the child is 50% of their father and he should have the decency to at least be in their life.
And I'm pro-choice with abortion but I don't think you should use it as your birth control if anything happens. But this is all off topics.

And with all that updated technology, guess who's pocket it comes out of? That's right, ours. You can't really win. It's just one of those things that sucks in life.
0
A man may, and should, at least try to pay for an abortion, if it's needed.

You say you grew up without your father. Now, I know your circumstances.

Then, learn mine.

My mother was stricken with cancer, first when I was 1, and again when I was 8. The first time, My mother relapsed into a sort of deadish person who tried to be happy and friendly, and partially succeeded. Especially to my young, mother dependent eyes, this was incredibly hard. When I was 8, it hit her again, and she went bat-shit insane. Completely ruined my childhood up to my thirteenth year, when I awoke a certain morning with a completely new personality, and she continued childhood assassination attempts until she finally passed away last year.

Everyone has circumstances, Miss Ziggy. Everyone grows up different. I may accuse you of bias for women because your father seems to have been an ass, and you may accuse me of bias for men because my mother was a titanium barb in my side.

And, on the subject, understand that a troubled childhood leads to a happier adulthood. Conflict gives you the chance to mature and sort out your personality early on. Please do not direct the term "dip your stick anywhere" at me. I think I come off as better then that.
