[Anime] Charlotte

Couldn't find a thread for this series, didn't want there to be duplicate threads. Anyway opinions on the series? I'm already in love with Tomori.Forum Image: http://i.klepeer.com/userdisk/1437635506.jpg

Hmmm, I thought this anime was gonna get more buzz.

I didn't watch episode 6 fully but I've seen screen shots and I can say was

Spoiler:
I fucking new she was gonna get sick and be in danger. Maeda, don't be so predictable please.

Still enjoying it though.

This show killed the loli. It is like they wanted to try and be controversial.

I love key, but this feels like they're trying way to hard to be sad and edgy.
Spoiler:
The knife scene in 6 was downright pathetic, and felt forced as fuck.

I do love the two main characters, and I'll keep watching for them alone.

I wanted to keep watching cause first few episodes were intriguing. But now it seems it is getting too saddening and episode 7 sort of felt awkward since felt like did a 180 it what we have seen. I might watch another episode, but not liking how this is going anymore.

I felt the last episode was more of rehab for the main character. Tomori made up for it, making pizza sauce seem less awkward and saddening.

Well just the fact that
Spoiler:
his sister dies
felt sort of weird. She felt like she would have a bigger impact than she ended up having. They can do something later to say they lied to him but it just felt awkward of an episode for me...

And suddenly I'm interested again. They've been making it clear that there's something big going on in the background, and I think we just got to see a big part of it. I'm expecting one hell of a clusterfuck, hoping it blows me away. Key games always have mediocre routes, but they always make up for it with the finale!

That new episode though

Show is getting substantially more interesting. I've actually been excited about it each week now. Question about the most recent episode though:

Spoiler:
Since he jumped back into time, that means that his meeting ZHIEND's singer and having her visit Nao's brother never happened. Think he'll make it happen again? I'd feel bad if the poor guy had to sit in the mental hospital for forever again.

Episode 10

Spoiler:
I didn't see the time leap power to be a thing nor did I expect Yuu to have such an OP power. This episode, while an exhibition, was my favorite so far and won the series back. I don't mind that they brought the sister back thought such a way.

Not well paced, should have been a vn instead or another cour, at least. Just thinking about it more, makes it more apparent.

Lelouch arc could honestly be a show in itself. It's just enjoyable to see him manipulate people.
Nao Rescue Squad arc should have acted to develop the characters even further. Maybe even show the plundered users as foreshadowing.
Pizza sauce arc was good on its own but more foreshadowing that Nao is a creep would be nice. And the despair could have lasted for much longer.
Sara Shane was pretty much perfect. Because >Sawashiro. Can never be enough though.
Research Facility arc wasn't really explained as well as it could have been.
Punished "Venom" Yuu arc should have been longer to, again, see him fall into despair.

The ideas presented in Steins;gate: The Phantom Pain are fantastic though. However it feels liked squashed potential. It could have been so much better. I mean just read the amount of arcs there is and the variety of them. Idk, still kinda salty after mgsv. Maybe it's taking a toll on me. Nao isn't bestgirl.

Spoiler:
Didn't realize he was out plundering for over a year. Only noticed after /a/ did.

It's kinda incredible how well the last couple of episodes coincide with MGSV.

>when he's in the hospital
"You've been in a coma for quite some time. Yes yes, I know, you'd like to know how long. I'm afraid it's been... 9 years"

>turns to nao
"Nao, I'm already a demon"

Let's be real here, the best part of Charlotte was the fact we got confirmation of a Rewrite anime at the end.

They will fuck it up, like with everything else.

I really think that depends how they do it. If it comes out that it's only going to be like, 24 episodes, I'll lose that faith.

Honestly I was disappointed with Charlotte, it was the first time Jun Maeda managed to do that to me. If I recall correctly, I believe Rewrite will be their first anime not completely written by him, so we'll see where that leads us.

Charlotte was my second favorite anime for the summer, and Tomori was my favorite as well. I even learned how to say "such a turn off" thanks to her.
