Synopsis
There is distorted, deep blackness everywhere. That place, in which blackness swallowed everything and took away everything, has become known as the Avidya Zone. Strange beings assume the very form of the despair and chaos of humanity. They are known by this name: Imashime.

I'm expecting something like Code Geass-ish kind of feel from it.
Can be wrong though, just hope that there will be an amazing plot twist from it.

This sounds interesting, but I'm hesitant with the age group their using for the story. I'm expecting a lot of glossed over drama, considering the size of the cast. A lot of the kind I am not too fond of lately.
But I like the art direction, and "humanity in danger of eradication by a superior in str/power species" has always interested me. So I'll be checking this out with a "little above average" expectation, hoping they will flush out each character.

Regretfully, I find the protagonist to be the boring "anti-social but talented cliche", other male characters don't get enough time. The only character I am invested/interested in, the only one (I consider) with any dept, is Emiru Hazaki. She's the only one who seems to have multiple values and goals, and I am interested in why she pursues Akashi, what's her goal out of it, it seems like it's status or pride?
The story rushes through everything so quickly, I can barely make sense of what's happening, normally I like when stories don't bog down the audience in too much detail (that the audience can't choose to skip), but I feel like a lot of things that should be addressed are ignored, such as, the condition of their world and the affect on human society these creatures have. All the area's they encounter Corpse's in don't give any substantial information... and doesn't contribute as much to the story versus the amount of time it takes up from the show.
Then the mech design seems so random, err an aesthetic design choice without much logic. This is not directed at the wheel form, but the transformation from the wheels to legs... I don't see any advantage of loosing the 3 legged wheel form for a two legged form...
I think this is still watchable, particularly for Emiru, but I can not find anything in the protagonist or the world to invest in, which is depressing for me.
