Two million Japanese voted at Yahoo Japan and this was the result. Would your list look something like this?

* 1 - sola
* 2 - Lucky Star
* 3 - Katei Kyoshi Hitman Reborn
* 4 - Ookiku Furi Kabutte
* 5 - Higurashi
* 6 - Gintama
* 7 - Nanoha StrikerS
* 8 - Nanatsuiro Drops
* 9 - Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei
* 10 - Hidamari Sketch

I'd take out Hitman Reborn, Ookiku, Gintama, StrikerS, and Nanatsuiro. I'd replace them with something like Minami-Ke, Gurren Laggan, School Days, CLANNAD, and Baccano.
0
All of those numbers would be Zero no Tsukaima. Except 10. 10 would be Vandread.
0
hah, my list would look like that *with Tsujoi alteration* but what exactly is sola?
0
My top ten would actually be top 2 because I've had problems keeping up with more recent shows. Nanoha StrikerS would take first place, Zero no Tsukaima takes second, and all the others trail behind in no particular order.
0
Sola

Drama, fantasy, and romance.
0
GURREN LAGANN! Who the hell do you think I am?

Seriously, who would trust that? It's from Yahoo.
0
I'm a bit disappointed Lucky Star didn't score the first place.
0
fortunately, Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei (Goodbye, Mr. Despair) is in the top ten =P i'm very glad for this. 8)

My list would be like follows:

1. An anime I liked.
2. An anime I liked.
3. An anime I liked.
4. An anime I liked.
5. An anime I liked.
6. An anime I liked.
7. An anime I liked.
8. An anime I liked.
9. An anime I liked.
10. An anime I liked.
That goes to show how non-favourateisimistic I am.

Why would you take out Hitman Reborn!?!?! It's good, Sola getting first place is kind of unexpected. it ended like ages ago, and I didn't really like it.

Kaimax, pretty much none of the series you listed aired in 07....a few aired in 06 and continued in 07 though...but still.

But your list has made me want to re-watch code geass. Man, I gotta remember to buy the dvds when they are released.

I got a little update from animax-asia.com. Here is their version of Japan's BEST ANIME for 2007 :

The latest one kaimax posted seems about right to me ... except that Seto no Hanayome and Nodame Cantabile seem extremely out of place. I've watched both of those, but I wouldn't be putting them above the likes of Higurashi (even though I've never seen it) and Sayanara Zetsubou Sensei. In fact, I would say that it seems 'wrong' for Seto no Hanayome and Nodame Cantabile to even be on that list.

The Yahoo! Japan one is strange because it has Hidamari Sketch, a unique series to be sure, but it isn't anything noteworthy. It also has a severe lack of Kallen, er, I mean Code Geass.

The Anime Grand Prix 2007 ... I have a bias against most things related to Shounen Jump, so naturally I think ... wait, is this even about anime in 2007? It lists Eureka Seven but it doesn't even list Lucky Star!

it would be either Code Geass or Death Note...if i must choose,it will be Code Geass for it has season 2 while Death Note has already ended with no conclusion to Misa-chan's fate...
