Buying Anime and Manga

It's obviously completely impossible to buy all anime that you want to watch. I do have a job however, so when I see good deals or there's something I want, I'll get it.

So far my entire anime DVD collection is volume 1 of Elfen Lied which this kid lent to me last year and I tried to return it countless times but apparently he's now in Texas for some military stuff...mine forever now.

I bought Onegai Sensei volumes 1 and 2 from a friend for cheap as fuck. I also bought the Slayers OVA collection for like $15 form Best Buy and later I bought the entire Giant Robo collection (plus some other movie that came with it) for $16. Best Buy has really good prices or their anime, especially for complete series in boxsets. Though, like normal, individual volumes of anime are needlessly expensive.

Other anime I'm wanting to purchase now: Outlaw Star, Tenchi Universe, Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki OVA series, Excel Saga, Grenadier, and Gravion (both seasons in one set). All of that would eat up one paycheck, so I think I'll buy a cheaper anime every paycheck or maybe every two buy a $40 one. Actually seeing and holder the sets makes me so tempted, it's pathetic. However for manga, it's usually the opposite. I've never had the impulse to buy much except maybe Berserk or titles I knew the anime of.

I have impulses to buy dvds and manga. I usually don't buy from actual stores near me. I go to justmanga.com or rightstuf.com, ordering from justmanga racks me up points to use to buy more stuff. Got this Saber figure through the points system!

It's all impulse when you're holding the weight of something in your hand. Like Tenjou Tenge's dvd boxset, normally I'd not give a shit, but it looks enticing, like it wants me to take it home. lulz

I'd recommend Rightstuf daily/weekly deals. Anime is really cheap if you just know how to shop for it right.
