Crying/Serious Business

This is kind of like the, "Have you ever cried to an anime?" topic. Have you ever cried or took your anime really serious while watching with a friend or tried correcting someone about an anime and someone got weirded out or pissed at you? Me, I have most def corrected a lot of people about anime, I wasn't trying to be a smart ass, but if you love something so much, the people around you should know whats wrong and right when they try to talk to you about it. Sometimes while watching a sad anime, I try to hold my tears in really hard when people are around, they usually come out and everyone around me feels awkward.

I definitely get this way with one anime - Neon Genesis Evangelion.

I just can't stand to see people talking about it without understanding what Anno was doing. I have often yelled at people, "Shinji is supposed to be weak! He's a fourteen-year-old boy with a dead mother and a father who ignores him!"

Some animes ARE serious.
And yeah, I tried to correct some peoples about animes few times.

@ShaggyJebus : Yes, Shinji IS weak and Evangelion is awesome. I love GunBuster & DieBuster too. GAINAX is one of my fav' studios. I forgot FLCL ! great too !

Thaaaaaannkyouu! I really dislike how people make it out to be shit. I concede there are better enimes but people just won't take the time to sit down and think about the psychological implications of the plot developments.

I correct people on a lot of things that don't matter all the time, including and most commonly anime and film.
But I'm kindof a dick.

I don't like to really watch anime with others around me i makes me feel weird....and i don't really like it when people call anime "cartoons" its a little more then a child's show for a lot of anime
