a very astonishing manga I'd say... the story is great with its own twists and turns... plus, there would be an anime series soon to be released this year. the main character is so cute, you won't even notice that she's the ruler of all vampires... this is definitely a must read for all those who love butt-kicking lolis.

Love this series too, though the artwok aint that great, but the story line is awesome. It sure beats emo, bishie vampires from twilight or vampire knights (mutherfuckers all of em.

Its adult and pretty sophisticated story line and the fact that an entire country/island is a vampire zone is what makes it original. the only downside is the artworks.

I'll be picking this up for reading. I'm interested in what this might really hold before the anime version comes.

But lolis... can't argue with that (I'm still reading Kodomo no Jikan), pretty sure it's a good story.

What's funny was that when I downloaded this series, it was labeled with a hentai tag on it and in raw, so when I was reading it expecting sex scenes and all I got was vampires and werewolves and fighting. Guess I'll read this series now that I know the English title.

Haha ^_^ Apparently the loli poses of the head vampire (see pic above) was too erotic for the censors ^_^

Ah i have just recently read about this Manga and it`s upcoming Anime Version.
Some people are wondering how much Loliness will get to the Anime.
I will give it a try.

Here's a synopsis:

After millennia in hiding, Mina Tepes, the Princess of the ancient covenant and ruler of all vampires, wants change. Using the vast wealth of the Tepes line, she has paid off the entire gross national debt of Japan and in so doing, gained the authority to create a "special district" off the coast of Japan that is to become the future haven to vampires the world over! Now, on the eve of the landmark press conference announcing the existence of vampires to the world, terrorists and rival factions are plotting to assassinate Mina Tepes before she has a chance to make her world-changing annoucement.


This manga is still ongoing; usually Bi-monthly if we're lucky. And you can find it mainly on Manga Fox.

Good manga. I really love the fact that the author doesn't throw away any of the characters. All characters get their own screen time. There's no "background" characters that don't do anything.

I love this Manga...I wish it would update already though!

The Man thing I'm Waiting on is the Anime Adaption its receiving Early next year!

I think it'll be obvious what happens next. The three heads lost the right to marry her, so that Rozen guy will probably kidnap Akira and make her marry him. Or something along those lines. Hope it'll be a while before it happens though.

I finally decided to pick up this series ever since chancing upon it a few months back. Headed over to my Barnes&Noble and took the first four volumes off the shelf and read it while I ate my lunch at the cafe downstairs.

My reaction? Probably the best vampire manga and series of all time that I've ever read or watched. The art is great and the storyline is captivating, and the character development is solid; not many manga have all three categories in the bag, and I was sold on the very first volume. Shaft should be able to pull off an epic series (and hopefully keeping out the jokes since this is a rather serious series.) I ended buying all four volumes there and going to pick up the fifth volume next week. Mina Tepes, loli or not, is hot.

My only gripe is that our protagonist is too generic looking. His looks resembles Sagara Sousuke, and there's even a reference to childhood memories of battles just like Sousuke.

It's a shame that there's no consistent scanlator of this series. It seriously is good, and you know it's good when I buy it. Most manga are just downloaded, not bought. While I don't forsee a super-long series, I'm prepared for 10-20 volumes of this good stuff, though the only bad thing is that it takes three months per volume to publish.

Hmm, now I'm seriously hyped for the anime. Shaft are not known for screw ups so must become something to look forward to.

Shaft has been know for more of it's fanservice works, but it's production values are way up there. I don't foresee many problems, and I hope it becomes an epic anime series that's worth the download.
