Fandubs?

So, thinking I'd like to start a fandub, and have a question. How does one go about creating one? How does one remove the voices from a series? Any information would be helpful! Do you watch fandubs? Have you ever?

I've watched a couple, but I generally don't like them.

Move maker... there a mute button and you just line tracks for the dubs.

That'd get rid of the background music as well, wouldn't it? How would I go about changing that?

I wanna be a voice For your fandub but to remove the voice I think you need to use some type of audio equalizer program but Im not sure

The last fan dub I liked was from MasakoX and that was a superb dubbing job for an episode of Karin. Usually I don't watch fandubs because they attempt way too hard to literally translate the voice from Japanese to English. I was watching one VA on youtube doing voices for characters in Japanese and English and made an amazing realization that day on voice acting and dubbing.

Depends on if the vocal and background are the same audio file.

Is that Toradora fandub actually good? I saw it in the Suggestions column while watching the series, and I wondered if I should check it out.

Ehh seen a few, some are alright, some are...less alright, but it just show fans love for a show, and that is a good thing.

IMO the only good fan dubs are gag dubs. Even then you still have to be good.

Currently working on dubbing mangas though (yes, manga dubbing), we'll get to anime... one day...

We're currently doing a one-shot known as Nisekoi (waiting on members for lines and I need to do them myself too lol) and Mirai Nikki (lines done for chapter 0 & 1, it'd be out if not for Yepperoni being busy).

@mattmagician Unfortunately, Oreimo is licensed, and we kinda don't wanna dub licensed stuff, we just think doing something that's NOT dubbed is good rather than doing something that's out in English, although other anime name suggestions wouldn't be bad?

I've never really been into fandubs. I prefer to watch an anime as it was meant to be, otherwise it doesn't have the same effect and feeling.

For instance if you were to try and imitate that part in Clannad when you would be a moron. Few people are able to voice acting as well as that.

OreImo's not getting a dub though, it's being done by Aniplex in the same way as past titles, simply bringing out subbed video.
