This was one of my favorite shows of all time

Definitely one of my favorite. I could (actually, I do) watch it over and over, shame it's so short.

I could list some of my favorite moments, but there's just too many. I really like the swim school episode, especially when he demonstrates his swimming skills.

I have the DVD, signed by Doug Smith, the English VS of Kintaro.

The DVD's also signed by Vic Mignogna. (It says "Hi Shaggy!") I met them both at an anime convention, and the DVD was all I had for anybody to sign.

Golden Boy = Great series that everyone should watch

u know ive been hearing here and there how good this is but thought it was too old for my taste so i never looked at it but ill give the manga a chance..if thats good enough maybe ill check out the anime but i doubt that...

Mine's when he shows off the skills of the Mikazuki 5 against Reiko.

ok im up 2 chapter 5 on this and ive decided thats this is pretty damn good...maybe even watch the anime worthy..we'll see 2morrow...

He did a good job on Kentaro's voice.

I don't know how everyone else feels about this, biglw, but I personally suggest the dub if you look for the anime. Doug Smith does such an amazing job with Kintaro's voice, Just the way he says things makes them funny.

That's just my personal opinion, but I would like to hear if anyone else prefers the dub.

There is no such thing as an anime that is "too old." Even if a great series is made forty years ago, if it's great, it will stand the test of time and will be just as good. Never decide to not watch something based solely on age.



Everybody I know prefers the dub. Doug Smith really does a wonderful job with it. The jokes are funnier with him doing the voice.

And if it wasn't for him we wouldn't know that "LIFE IS STUDY"!!!!!!!!!!!!

The only anime i know where the dub actually surpasses the original.

I thought that there was a thread for this already. I actually listened to the dub but preferred the subs over it.

Kintaro pulls off some wanky stuff, like riding his bike on the wires of electric towers. And the women? HAWT baby.

read the manga for the best satisfaction.it's one of the factors that get me into the hentai world.

although the anime is also enjoyable.

Golden Boy is hilarious...and the dub is actually better than the sub. :D

And it's very rare for me to ever prefer a dub over a sub in Anime. :o
