The last OVA I saw was Hunter X Hunter Greed Island Final (with the previous two OVA's being before it). It was definitely excellent but that's largely due to the writing talent and great story than anything else.

I typically don't watch too many OVA's though. I haven't been into anime for an incredibly long time so I've been mostly into seasonal series as they emerge and getting through the classics. I've been getting more into movies as well. Also, most of the shows i watch don't have OVA accompaniment.
