Ishihara's new rules

[font=Courier New] Oh noes!
I don't know how to feel about this. I figured with the earthquake and tsunami that this bogus nonsense would be something swept under the rug and never heard from again. Anyone in Japan that can comment on this?

Not really a witch hunt, since nobody is hunting and no one is hunted.
Sad news is sad. But it's just the publishers don't have the "Balls" to defy the law, authors doesn't have the authority beyond drawing.
Currently there's no "forced bans"
For this to be considered witch hunt is when Those forcing the laws starts targeting indiscriminately.
Don't bloat up the news

Well, that one was pretty much inevitable since new rules were introduced, so I can't say that I'm shocked or particularly angry.
For now, it seems most of any cancellations are done by the industry, rather than any governmental "intervention" - how much worse, or better, that might be I cannot say, although I suppose it's always better that iron-fisted purge by some conservative lackeys who can't keep their children in line.
But it's not like all laws are eternal, and that politicians hold their posts for life.
In short: Incident noted, sad, but life moves on.

I'm pretty sure they have bigger worries to care about; this won't make that much of an impact right now.

I think the Japanese should change the Diet into the Parliament so we don't get useless politicians ruining the country with unlimited power.
