Thanks for the recommendations. I forgot to mention, I watched Black Lagoon already, and it's great.

Gungrave - mafia story, but with monsters, the hero is pretty badass. A decent storyline, but I think it coulda had a better ending.

Elfen Lied - mutant with telekinetic powers has amnesia and ends up living with 2 normal people. Crazy mood swings here, one minute it's like oh shes so cute and innocent, and the next BAM, blood is spurting and limbs are flying. Some fan service, but that just adds to the crazy mood swings.

Mushishi - Definitely more story driven than action, but it's got a nice eerie feel about it. Most of the episodes are stand alone, so you dont have to keep watching because you just HAVE to find out what happens next and hey oops, I missed my job interview.

Elfen Lied added to my list, of Anime to watch.

I would of liked Elfen Lied better if those fanservicey/comedy elements were removed. The OP rocks though...

Definitely watch Elfen Lied. And perhaps try Gurren Lagann?

I've read up to the part where they introduce the wheelchair girl. Then the scanlation stopped. Can't remember what chapter that was or if they released anymore.

While almost all of the anime suggested in this topicis good, since we don't know what you personally like in an anime... It's not exactly narrowing it down now, is it? What's the point in suggesting things that we assume you may like, if you hate them?
I suppose what would help is if you told us what sort of anime you prefer. You know, comedy, drama, giant robots, action, adventure, giant robots, noir, giant robot noir, action drama, giant robot action drama...

You get the drift.
