manga and anime about the manga industry often depict assistants looking to go independent often getting advice from the mangaka they work under. while i dont know how true this is i often feel like some of the newer mangaka have hints of older mangakas styles in their art, especially with hentai. now part of me things this is mostly my imagination but i wonder if theres a resource out there that can give insights on this sort of thing
