I really liked Inuyasha until a few episodes after they got the Tetsusaiga (and slightly less until slightly after they met up with Sango). Once the full party got formed it felt significantly less appealing (due to slow moving, borderline dead-end romances forming) and after he learned the wind scar I lost most of my interest. After the band of seven I couldn't watch anymore. The characters had gotten stale and the romance was going nowhere.

Naraku is also an insanely irritating villain. He is nearly unbeatable (mainly due to cheezing than actual skill or power) and seems to always have all knowledge of everything. He was like a very cliche and stale god. He basically just hid for 30 episodes and then when they finally found him they spend at least half the episode killing minions and then realize he has a barrier (Inuyasha taught me to hate that word) and Inuyasha needs to wander off to learn how to defeat it.

Gripes aside, the show wasn't all bad. Like I said, I loved the show for about half the first season and then it sorta declined until the Band of Seven. If Kagome didn't immasculate Inuyasha and then go nowhere with it (I'd have been fine if they got into an evolved and meaningful romance but they just play grab ass games all the time) I'd have liked the show for longer.

In regards to a new season, there is a possibility I guess. The series did run for nearly 200 episodes but since the manga goes farther and is still running (I think) it may not be unreasonable to think they might animate the remainder of the material.

I've browsed enough forums and have enough facts (too far back to name a few, google em) to say that a new season will not happen.

Of course, I could be wrong like I have been so multiple times in my life.

Yeah, I really haven't heard anything positive in regards to another season or series of Inuyasha but the fact that the material is there means that unless whoever owns the rights for it goes on record saying that they won't do anything with it and Rumiko Takahashi says that the license won't be animated ever again then there is always at least a small chance.

I hope it does, after it gets a little further along in the series in the manga mabye they will start it up again

I have also heard that a new season will not happen because the director is too busy with other things plus it has a really long story.
