Story:Oz Bezarius, heir to one of the duke houses, has just turned fifteen. His life is rich and carefree, darkened only by the constant absence of his father. At his coming-of-age ceremony, however, everything changes. For no reason that he can discern, he's cast into the prison known as the "Abyss", only to be saved by a "chain" known as Alice, the bloodstained black rabbit. The mystery there begins as Oz unravels the mystery behind Alice, the Abyss and the strange organization known as Pandora. The series features heavy references to Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland" and can be considered both fantasy and mystery.

This is my unsung series of the season actually. I'm enjoying the mystery, the humor, the music, the perverse/distorted theme, and just about everything; despite the so-so animation (I'm pretty much used to XEBEC). Just to add, eight episodes have aired and been sub'd... if you guys are interested, wouldn't it be better to start now? :D

Ep12: Good episode. Started off with the very hilarious best of 3 arm wrestling contest just so they could retrieve Gil's hat. :lol: Not long after the short reunion between the 3 (Oscar, Oz, & Gil), it jumped right off to another serious case of Alice's missing memories. Well, thanks of course to another one of Break's hidden agenda that is...
It was really fun to see Alice cheery like that in the beginning... unfortunately, it only lasted for no longer than 7 minutes (appx). Ahhh, and I don't like the way how Vincent treats Echo; either way, I've never really been that fond of him, ever since his first appearance/introduction a couple of episodes back... He's way more twisted than I could ever imagine. And I certainly don't like the (gay) vibes that I'm picking from him.

Ep 13: I dont think anyone is saw it so...... It is that I dont like this episode but rahter that a waiting for 14 episode make me madddddd SO I dont like this Cesane Cat or wathever is called and in the end taht guy that looks like Oz just older>>>>>>>.......... :) LOL *_*

Finished watching it today and I believe it deserved a bit more spotlight.
The utter crappyness of the animation (good, old, poor Xebec) and the awesomeness of the sound cancel each other quite nicely and what we are left with is a fun, dynamic story with a likable, diverse and well developed cast of characters. Might just be my second-favorite Xebec show after The Third ...
Really needs a second season btw. On to the manga.

The ending, or lack of one, pissed me off. There better be a second damn season.True that but (sequel possibility aside) I still prefer that to going anime-original and forcing a closure. From what I hear they didn't mess with the manga that much so one can simply continue on with it.

the overall of this anime is quite nice but the ending is just sucks like nabari no oo since oz's father that should be the last boss lose in few second.It seems like they just want to end the animation quickly

For the love of god. It ended abruptly because it caught up to the manga, and it probably wasn't popular enough so filler episodes to be made for it.
If you really enjoyed it that much..go read the manga.
