So PulpSecret had a manga review epi today. Agree or disagree with the stuff they said?

Hmmmm I totally disagreed wit their Fairy Tail review and agreed with the Hikaru No go review.

How they reviewed the Chef manga i might read, and i agreed with the manga readers when they were versing the mainstream.

"In America!" I wonder if that was an intentional Yugioh: Abridged reference.

Well, I have to agree to the view that manga tends to be more diverse in subject matter, though not necessarily more diverse in terms of character. A lot of the others things that were said were more about personal preferences for art style.

Not going to comment about the fairy tail part, 'cause people have their own opinion.

But, I kind o f get pissed off when they're trying to trash talk about manga.

I know the show is about comic books, but can't they just be neutral.
I like both Manga and mainstream comic books, but two of the host are going to far, one of them said "manga have to many fanservices (sort of like that), but I think comic books, especially about super heroes have more "fanservices". Look at all the tight clothes of the women super heroes, aren't that fanservicey enough? This is why I hate bias, ALL type of biases.

I think they just don't like too much fanservice in their books. I remember watching one epi where they had commented on an X-men issue about how the artist was posing Emma Frost.

I didn't catch the fanservice message, but I did agree on the type casting of women though.

What time did they mention fanservice?

They were talking about it around 11.34,(they were not actually mentioning about fansevices, but I understand what they were talking about) ,they were comparing that manga and comic books have the same issue about women, and then Pete starts acting all funny.

And I just read the comments for the show, some of them say:
-Manga is Stupid!
-Alex, yes you made the most ridiculous statement ever.
-Don't ruin it by introducing Manga in it
-Manga is so bad it even makes DC look good
-Too bad its drawn in that ridiculous style then, huh? Sorry, I dont care how well written that crap is, the art is all garbage. Its even worse when its B&W...
-Manga fans are better possibly if you are a pedophile and like 13 year old girls, which in my experience is what the average Manga fan is.

Look how they can trash talk manga, from 6 of the comments, 3 of them are from the same guy. Some of them are REALLY investing their money in comic books. Well, my manga collection will accompany me through time, and I don't want to think selling them.
Some of them commented that they don't understand "asian superheroes", I think this is another bias. The "Super Heroes" in manga, they rarely think themselves as Super Heroes, some of them would say
-"I'm doing this to save the world!"
-"I want to protect everybody that I love and care!"
It's rare to see them say:
-"I'm the hero, so I can save the world!"

Do the people who trash talk manga, ever read manga?
I bet they have only read 1 series or even not at all.

Either that or they suffer from an extreme case of xenophobia.

Here's a comment about the video from Youtube:

Manga stories may be more varied in their subject matter, but in my experience it pretty rarely goes past the 'this is fun, interesting and different' factor to hit any emotional notes. Also, all manga artwork looks the freakin' same. What's so original about THAT!?!?? HUH!?

It's probably I good thing I don't know this guy in real life. As an artist, it makes me want to punch him.

I'm not even an artist, but I want to punch him. Either that, or make him feel a bit of the wrath of the kitten:

Let's see him talk shit after some of that.
