RideBack episode 12 (FIN)

~WOOT! :D
Is there even a need to say anything else?
As we know that this was in fact the second to the last episode of the series, the transition went incredibly fast but nevertheless in a smooth sailing fashion. It has a very straightforward plot to begin with, so I don't think anyone would have any trouble in figuring out the details. All the important facts have already been laid down so I'm very pleased with how everything turned out in this one. They made well use of the first half to show Rin's grievances and doubts while BMA worked in preparation of their all out assault against GGP. And to sum up the following half in a single word - EXPLOSIVE! 8)
That's about it. I'm feeling quite a bit depressed though knowing that this awesome series is about to come to a close but at the same time, I just can't wait to see how it's going to end.... hopefully, they'd leave the door open for a sequel.
Feel free to discuss.

No better image you could have used for the topic. Caught my eye the second I saw it.
As for the ep ...
- Seemed kinda slow paced early on but I knew it couldn't remain such with this being the pre-final episode. Nice mood and emotion emanating from the first half and excellent action from the latter. Rideback was always good at rapid gear shifting.
- Love them new GGP machines (Grimoires right ?). Finally something brutal, specialized and efficient. As cool as they were, ridebacks never got me sold for being the technology to take over the world. This was so much better.
Of course they're still no match for the ballet-fu of Bruce Rin.
Very excited 'bout ep 12. The series played it's screentime superbly thus far and still seems to be high on founds.
Heads will roll and flames will spread (one two-wheeled flame in particular).

...depressed state...
I have nothing else to say for now. Probably the best and one of my favorite show of the season has just concluded...
Don't get me wrong, I never was disappointed with the outcome for everything that has happened and everything that I've seen (the flames could have used more "fieriness"). The series did deliver way more than my expectations and not only in the "action" department but it also showed a great deal of emotion which I always look forward to every anime that I've been watching. The feeling of uneasiness while watching something only proves a series' worth/effectiveness in conveying/baring its all to the viewers. RideBack may have not been able to bring tears to my eyes but it definitely "moved" me; like all of my all-time favorite series have done.
(I'm gonna miss this one a lot) - kinda an inconclusive ending perhaps but as far as the main issue is concerned, that pretty much settles everything. (hopefully, only for the time being)

I should probably have Rin as my 6th waifu but there's just so much more for me to choose from... (having up to 10 wouldn't even be an issue) :D
And before I forget, Romanov - you're pathetic! Didn't I tell you to watch your back at all times!? Being shot "dead" from behind by a "woman" of all things that could ever possibly kill someone... you suck Romanov! (you disgust me)

the way the show was rolling, the fact that she had not really begun to fight, and the fact that the side story between the 3 ex soldiers seemed weak all led me to believe that they were going to make a season two of this show for sure. When I was done watching I was extremely sad, even with some of the elements I didn't like about the show I still enjoyed the show as a whole.

The main focus of the whole story was on Rin after all, which led to the weak developments and outcome of the "GGP-BMA" side story. (they had it set to merely 12 episodes) how the fuck could we expect them to cover every single story angles perfectly?
Season 2, though I'd certainly want to see that happen... the way it has ended tells me that it is all over. But of course, we couldn't possibly tell what they've got in store for us next... ("they" refers to MadHouse studios btw)

Waiting for better subs/quality sure was a pain in the ass but I somehow managed.
As for impressions - excellent ! (both the episode and the whole series).
The final ep was more a tribute to Rin than anything else (and I got some major Vanishing Point vibes along the way) but I don't mind. The show was her stage to begin with. Some of her expressions, the music and other details made me (once again) remember why I fell in love with Rideback in the first place. Only wish they showed a bit more of Tamayo (and made Okakura's nose 2 meters shorter)...
Gonna seriously miss the series. It had many stunning scenes along the way (the final fight/dance is an excellent example) and made perfect use of the few episodes it had (and it's budget).
