Well from the looks of the last 3 episodes. I guess in the 5 days it takes for them to fight. I'd say Jin. Since Kariya Kagetoki (a.k.a. "The Divine Hand") took care of Mugen immediately and only almost managed to defeat Jin.

jin would win in a confined area.. in an open area.. who knows? mugen knows how to shape a battle field xD

Sometimes, Mugen doesn't even need to use a sword. I can't remember the episode number, but it was that one episode where he had to help a female spy out. He didn't use a sword for the whole episode and kicked massive ass.

Mugen is very difficult to predict what he going to do next.that is very true in his last fight (not counting the one with mugen) he stabbed himself through the front to kill his opponent. And I would have to say in terms of pure skill Jin wins, in a fight in an enclosed space jin wins again in a fight in a wide open space then possibly mugen.

Mugen most defiantly. He's a flipping crazy bastard. If anything he knows how to shape his momentum into a random blow and thats where he wins. Only thing is, is that he can lose his cool real quick and thats where he falters but even when he losses his cool he's in a "battle-like" state-of-mind.
