just watch the movie. If you like it then read the manga.

The book is not a continuation of the movie. The movie does skip two arcs though, which bothered me. Considering how short the manga is, I highly suggest reading it. If you just want some pretty (sex for the eyes) animation, watch the anime.

I think i agree with you, but please dont be confused about the book and manga thing. What i am talking about is a legit novel that was written. Can you confirm that please?

Why should it matter?

Often, what is made first is better than the one made second. Like if a movie is made from a book, the book will probably be better

But the movie is widely praised for it's stellar animation and gorgeous scenery. I think that and the short length makes it a movie worth watching. There isn't much story to it - at least not in the movie. Like there's no clear connection between the three different stories. I understand they are meant to portray the different stages of life and of love. And it is very possible the main character is the same guy.

What I'm trying to say is that the movie is only 1 hour long and is considered to be one of the best lookers around. To me that is enough to at least compel me to watch the movie.

Mod Note: Topic moved from Random to Anime and Manga.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Watch it. I really isn't that big of the deal. I would argue differently if it was a huge time skip like some animes.
