Shows with great dubs

"Ghost stories". The show was so poorly recieved in Japan than when it got localized the dub got full artistic expression. Its supposed to be scary but the dub makes it silly, removes any sense of urgency and someone curses every 2 minutes. An example being the younger brother of the mc's lines have all been replaced by whiny cries and the shrine maiden goes on about how devout to Jesus she is and how the MC's mother was a supernatural lesbian

Shin Chan, imo

I see a lot of people praising the dub for Black Lagoon.

'Bubblegum Crisis' and its remake, 'Bubblegum Crisis: Tokyo 2040', both have excellent dubs. The original's English singing is remarkably well done.

It may not be traditionally considered a good dub, but I love the Golden Boy dub. Really fits the show imo

I very rarely listen to dubs, but I'll admit I've never even given the original audio of Cowboy Bebop a listen. That show will always be a dub for me. And I second the thumbs up for Ghost Stories, though that's a horse of a different color.

†¢ Golden Boy's dub was amazing specifically because of the guy they got to voice the protagonist.
†¢ Black Lagoon's dub was good for multiple reasons. Revy's actress gave it her all. Rock's actor's fuckin' Lan from Battle Network (and Amuro in Gundam). What's not to love?
†¢ Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team is a great dub (to me, at least). I never liked Shiro's Japanese voice because the dude sounded like a kid.

†¢ I wish that Domon Kasshu's english voice actor never retired. Dude was perfect as Mega Man X.

I think it's worth clarifying if by "great" dub you mean relative to other dubs of its similar time period, dubs that actually compliment the show, or dubs that simply don't sound off. Also it depends on how much the anime "depends" on the VA performance -- some shows are carried so hard by the Japanese VAs that dubbing makes them worse. And finally, it depends on how much you like reading subtitles lol -- sometimes 6/10 dub > 9/10 sub.

Recently, most anime that are big in Japan and are dubbed by bigger companies (ie Funimation) are quite good -- for example I was pleasantly surprised by the Demon Slayer dub, even though some characters were a bit iffy. One that seems great (if you're into isekais) is the Reincarnation into Slime one (only up to season1 and OVAs have been dubbed).

Panty and Stocking easily. The dub is 100x better than the sub.

I grew up watching dubs like Yu Yu Hakusho and Cowboy Bebop, both of which are great. I tried to go back and watch subbed and couldn't do it. Maybe it's just nostalgia. Either way, here is my list of great dubs (I'm not saying these are necessarily better than the Japanese dubs, just that the English dub was also good):

Baccano! (It's set in America, so it just makes sense to watch this in English, imo. Also, Micheal J. Tatum as Isaac is fantastic).
Steins;Gate (Again, Michael J. Tatum is great, as is the rest of the cast).
Konosuba (I found the dub to be way more entertaining than the sub in this case).
Toradora (I never watched subbed, but I really love the dub).
Future Diary (Mainly because of all the expletives, which I prefer to hear in my native language).

Both Re:Zero and Shield Hero deserve honorable mentions here. Although I prefer the sub for both, each are admirable attempts when it comes to the English dub).
