Shukufuku no Campanella

Based on the visual novel with the same title released by Windmill in 2009, Shukufuku no Campanella follows the adventures of a young man named "Leicester", who lives in a city known as "The Treasury of the World".

The city is more crowded than usual due to the upcoming meteor festival. On the Day of Shooting Stars, Leicester attempts to search for the fallen shooting star, but instead, finds a mysterious girl who suddenly calls him "Papa"!

The success of anime titles adapted from visual novels tend to be mixed. Some do rather well, while others tend to fade away with time. Hopefully, Shukufuku no Campanella will fall into the former category. Since I have not played said visual novel, I will attempt to catch the anime when it airs in July 2010 on AT-X. Recently, there have only been "unfinished" animes, usually 12 episodes long. They aren't bad but you'll never get to know what's gonna happen next unless you keep up with the related mangas. It annoys me. This is why i always have high hopes for visual novel adaptions. They always introduces a good start and a decent ending, and that's what i'm looking for in animes.

So yea naturally, i'm gonna keep an eye on Shukufuku no Campanella.

Its so my kinda anime, all the cute characters, the designs managed to stay close with the VN
I still don't know which is my favorite there all just so cute, but from the game I loved Minette for just being so cute

Full of cliched cuteness and abstract story.
The main character, while not the usual dull, dumbass harem character, is a generic "rich, popular guy" #495203.

He gets a childhood frined, twin borderline lolis, a maid, a random circus girl (who he picks up for no apparent reasons other than her doing extraordinary performance), a cow tit knight, and his own mother is a MILF who looks like she never got fucked. AND he gets loli in the end. What more would you want?!

I would say it would be one of the worse ones of the season by the story alone, although I can't judge by the first episode. But who watches this kind of show for story?

I agree. I enjoyed this very much, story, art, plot, for the length of episodes it was well done. Not much of a change in art, but anime version of Avril >_< so cute!!

I believe some people complained that the storyline was slow-moving at the start, although the character development should have made up for the previous fault.

Personally, I enjoyed some of the battle scenes, especially the one featuring the spells of Carina in Episode 11.

This anime was pretty good! The OVA was the best since it was borderline hentai. XD
