The only time, you can have manly tears, is when your mother die.

I am going to make a t-shirt that say, "Real men cry at the end of anime."

Make sure you put Kamina on the shirt then.

Man.. I was so hyped up for ZNT but after watching the first half of the second season I dubbed it crapped. Too bad Saito doesn't stay dead, I been wishing for him to die a long time. >.O

watched the second season and was not impressed... was such a disappointment... especially the end.. the epic death would have at least had some merit, but they had to do the pointless opened ended ending...

though even thought I show isn't good.. I still end up watching it to the end anyways... If can't leave a show unfinished... guess I just cling onto some hope that it might get better if I keep on watching.. unfortunately.. it never did...

second season was good for the first few episodes then it quickly spiraled, ugh hated the open ending but rejoiced at the service >.<

This post contains spoilers.

Spoiler:
I absolutely loved the first season, but now I think it might have been only becasue nothing better was airing that (anime) season.

But the second season has left me in despair, as someone who knew what happens in the novels I looked forward to Saito's epic death.

But I'll come back to that later. I mean seriously, what was the deal with this series? Killing of Colbert was unessacary and felt forced. And the whole series degraded into a fanservice blob. I can understand that people want to see their favorite character "servicing" them, but I thought everyone would see that the amounts in this anime were too much.
It felt like they needed the fanservice to sell...

And now for some novel spoilers:

Spoiler:
In the Novel Louise got depressed and tried to kill herself after Saito died.

So I was looking forward to see the tsun times ten Louise finally acting dere. A dead Saito and a depressed Louise would have left a much better cliffhanger for the third season.

But the writers had to be fags and get a happy "back to square one" ending where Saito is alive and is being chased by Louise around because that's the way it always was. It kinda remined me of Ranma 1/2, in the end they make all that happened void and think they please their fans with it when they actually don't.

They are probably just too afraid to piss of some people, so they just piss of everyone instead.

Well, enough of this. I'll go back to reading the novels and hoping they'll do better on the third season.

BTW: I'd be willing to bet money on the fact that they're going to do a third series, now having a new character they can do fanservice with.

yeah, the ending was complete jackshit. I read some of the novel spoilers and they totally left out the elf, who is an important character and just turned her into a joke. saito should have stayed dead to make it a good season, and then make a 3rd, which they still should because that ending sucked.

First off I heard the novels are about x100 times better than the anime, but have yet to find them in English and readily available for me to download.

I was disappointed that they killed Saito and then brought him right back. They should have at least had an episode of completely despair in between.

And the only anime I can immediately think of off the top of my head where I was close to getting emotional was El-Hazard, and I can't even remember what happened in it.

Saito should have jumped into the sea or thrown into the sea or something like that. I think that would make the story more believable rather than being saved by some fairy..

Well, when you think about it, the ending is ok AS LONG as they are making that 3rd season.

For those interested in the novels, you should check out the fantranslation at http://www.baka-tsuki.net.

Sure they aren't that far yet, but translating a novel series is something else than fansubbing an anime. And they do a quite good job at it.

They also do the Haruhi novels.

the novel was soooo different from the anime

i was wondering if i was missing something because of the novel translations though.... maybe i'm just expecting too much (light novels are different from visual novels after all)

Yeah it is a little late to post here but I was and still am in PAD. It was hard for me to even hold on to my sanity when I was watching episode twelve. Every time I watched the end of it sent a shiver down my spine and a tear into my eye. My chair became a deadly weapon. I began throwing it around the room at just about anything. Why did they have to end it that way. When they were so happy being united once again, but noooooo the writers thought it would be funny to mention Boobs of another women. With that sort of ending their has to be another season. I'm Still emotionally unstable to the point of me choking anther person.. *yeah I really did choke a guy, but I didn't kill him he is just a really puss around me.* The piano version of"I say yes" was an appropriate song to play as Saito ran head on into 70,000 warriors. The movie"300" is a chick-flick compared to what Saito did. They put up their shields. He put out his sword and block nearly all of them. The Albion army are such assholes. Did they really have to charge their fireballs, shoot all their arrows, and fire big ass cannons to finish off a all ready dieing Hiraga Saito. Watch out I'm still Emotionally unstable!!!

Some of you may have already gotten wind of the news. According to the latest issue of Megami megazine which I bought last evening, a third season of Zero no Tsukaima is currently in production. This time round, viewers will get to see a lot more of a particular busty female elf... or so I think. :D
