[Locked] Bought the digital edition and now want the paperback?
1
A few people have asked about upgrades so I wanted to make a post about how we handle it. If you originally bought the digital edition of one of our books and you'd like to change your order to a paperback do the following.
Place an order for the paperback, go through the whole checkout process with your shipping info and all that. Once the order is complete send an email to store@fakku.net with the order ID numbers for your two orders (which will be in the emails we sent), we will then refund your PayPal account the cost of the digital edition!

What if you paid in Bitcoin?Same thing, we'll refund you that amount of Bitcoin (based on the value of Bitcoin at the time of refund).

Very thoughtful post! I'm sure the final day will bring a couple more into this. Don't forget about that possible contest merch folks~

I pre-ordered just the digital version but kind of regret not getting the paperback. Do you mean to tell me you'll let me upgrade to having the paperback too?

Are we allowed to upgrade *after* the pre-order period has ended? As in could one pre-order the digital edition, and then later - closer to the physical release date/when they have more money - upgrade for the difference?
Oh, and on a similar-though-somewhat-off-topic note, would it be possible to implement something such that we would be able to pre-order digital/physical combos, but pay for the shipping separately at a later date? (Sorry if this question is too off-topic!)

Yes you can upgrade your order from digital to physical at any time, you just have to send us an email. Hmm and I should probably code a feature that allows you to do it on your own after you made the purchase.

What about gifting? If I gift my friend a digital copy, will he be able to upgrade on his own, or will it have to be done through my account?
Though in the meantime, instead of a PayPal refund, wouldn't it be easier to email a single-use coupon code? Although then you might get people emailing for a code and then giving them away... I take it account-locked coupon codes aren't possible right now?

I'm glad this is a thing since I have to deal with International shipping and may want to see if I can get them shipped together in another printing (will that be possible?)
Is there no way to make the store give you a discount if you bought the digital edition? It obviously reflects in your account but I guess the Store is considered too separate I guess.
Then again now I'm thinking it is because $10 is too cheap for just the paperback so there's no way to feasibly sell a "Paperback-only" option.

Sounds cool, but I've only bought the one digital copy and because of the currency exchange I won't bother with a refund.
Keep the releases coming so I can keep throwing you my money. <3

Can we get the discount if we later buy the paperback edition at a convention?
