Convention buyer question?!

Not sure if it has been asked but has there been a way to verify physical purchases at conventions for the purpose of aquiring a digital copy or will I need to shell out another 10$?

If you were at Expo just understand that Bosshi's doujin XXX was not a physical/digital combo offer online, so that's the only book you wouldn't be able to get the digital version for free.
