Fakku makes the H-manga of your dreams come true?

So recently someone told me to make this a thread of it's own but what it essentially is is a proposal on something that might work as a feature here on Fakku? However, in this other thread Jacob asked for suggestions on how to improve the Fakku Gold Membership and I came up with what follows below. Please state your thoughts and if any other subscriber would be interested in such a feature. (Way to make me seem like the omnipotent head of Fakku, hehee..) I will include the conversation in it's entirety underneath this rant.

I like the suggestion but this is an odd thing to do. I think art is just something which we should just "let the magic happen".

Moreover I think there are some problems here:

1. There's no way we can expect to micromanage the artists. Are we to complain if the result isn't exactly what we wanted? When people ask for specific things, this is sure to happen.
2. The popular vote wins. Vanilla is never short in demand. I think we all know this. You could potentially cope with this problem by having FAKKU or the artist decide on some basic ideas beforehand and letting the community vote on that, but that's still not exactly what we want as fans.
3. On a similar note, how do we decide who makes the suggested manga? Everyone wants their favorite artist to do it. In this case the popular vote most likely represents even less of the community. This also leaves out any promising new artists who would love the opportunity.
4. Our community is the minority as far as Japan is concerned. If we get to make requests, then so should the Japanese readers. And between us and them they probably win out.

Legit reasoning, I'm afraid I just pulled something straight from nothingness. Absolutely there are many problematic aspects popping up, perhaps our own fanatasies should just stay where they are - trapped inside our heads.

Nothing wrong with some brainstorming. I definitely think the sub needs some other perks, especially for continuing subscriptions. If I really wanted to I could just stop my sub every now and then and come back to 200 fresh chapters. There's nothing stopping me from doing that other than the desire to have new stuff every day and my wish to support legal hentai. I just think there are some glaring problems with this particular idea. You definitely can't please everyone, but in this case it's pretty difficult to even please the majority of people.

I think the only way this would work is if it were done with a western artist that Fakku is collaborating with. Such as Doxy, GY, Ai, cyberunique, or Hse.

Instead of a majority vote, maybe run a subscriber only contest and the winner gets to have some input in what series/genre they'd like drawn.

Nah I agree with you completely. Perhaps with a lot of people putting some major thought into it some kind of perk could rise from my initial idea. And yes while the subscription chapters released as of now are of high quality I too would love something more for the monthly fee, although I pay it mostly to support the community since there are some really amazing artists within h-manga.

This, very nicely put. Doxy is incredible! Doesn't some of the western artists offer some similar service through their patreon pages. Though perhaps you just wish for a single piece of artwork for them to work on, which makes it considerably easier to go through with for the mangaka, I know I've seen it somewhere.
