If I pre-order a physical copy of PuniKano now, is it possible to combine it with my order of Renai Sample too? Because I don't really want to pay another 20 bucks just for shipping when I could get them shipped together =/

Send an email to store@fakku.net and we'll see if we can make it happen

Thanks Jacob, will do! I assume I still have to order PuniKano the normal way (+20 bucks for shipping again) before I contact the store, and afterwards you will see if you can ship it together?

One small question. If you license a book like Radical Gogo Baby, full of color pages, the number of color page would have an effect on prices?

It's just asked out of curiosity (I'd still buy that, twice)

Just my 2 cents, but I'd have to assume yes, since they're no doubt more expensive to produce, and he wants to keep parity with the quality of the original Japanese tankoubons.

I'm personally hoping we'll also get art books and stuff too. I already import some since there's usually not as much text and no plot to follow, but I'd love being able to read the illustrator's notes and other trivia.

Color pages certainly do cost more to print and a lot more time goes into typesetting them, so there certainly is an additional cost to both produce and print color pages. The color pages in a typical book like Renai Sample wouldn't have any impact on the price of the book (Renai Sample has a little under 20 color pages). Our upcoming Bosshi release has close to 40 color pages and again I don't think we'll raise the price of the book to compensate for the increased production cost.

However a book like TiTiKEi, which has almost 100 color pages, would most definitely see an increase in price. The Japanese release of the book was about ¥500 more expensive than similar releases without color pages, so we'd probably do something similar and price that book at $5 more than our others. But TiTiKEi is a special book, and warrants a lot of time and effort for it to reach the quality we want it to be (that's why we pushed it a big back so we could learn from the other books first).

$5 more for the paperback and digital version or just for the paperback?

Yeah I figured. And 100 color pages in TiTiKEi? Wow, I can't wait!

I know you've got your hands full right now, but did you have any interest in localizing art books from Wani in the future? Maybe try to gauge interest?

Only the paperback editions will cost more due to the higher printing cost.

Always wondered if the right for Titikei included the limited edition.
I wonder if wani would let you make a limited edition of TiTikei (based on the same they did)

Thanks for the info on color pages Jake, btw.

Would it be alright if there's also a 1600 px version of the digital book available?

When do the paperback editions shipped probably a dumb question but have to ask.

"When do the paperback editions shipped probably a dumb question but have to ask."

Supposed to ship out this week. They said in a previous thread that they were going to make an announcement soon with an update. I personally would also like an official update from Jacob on the status of the book. I can barely wait for it! Now that its finally November the anticipation and delays are killing me!

I'd also like to know.

Well November is almost over and still no sign of the renai sampler in my snail mail box. Do we have an accurate ETA on this? Makes me reticent to buy additional books if they dont show in my snail mail box :(

I'd seen several responses to "when will the physical books ship" none accurate. Perhaps a sticky post that keeps people updated is in order, rather than having to lurk for an actual shipping date? I very much enjoyed the first 2 books and am waiting to get my grubby hands on the physical versions.

Just a formal question: Will the shipping cost for buying several books in one purchase be combined or reduced? (international order)

Couldn't find that info on the shipping terms...

Unsure about international. I can definitely say domestic is, though. International should be, I think.

So, just wondering, there wouldn't be any legality issues surrounding the material in the books right?

i.e., these are perfectly legal to own in the US?
