[Mizone] why are some chapters of monster romance paywalled?

That's because some of these chapters came from the magazine as it was being made, so there were available to anyone who had unlimited. Some time came along and the tankabon came out with chapters that were not from Fakku's line of magazines so you have to pay the full tankabon.

Like said before, there are the releases that were translated from the magazine releases. Then there is a paid release for the tankobon. These releases are a part of a single collection (even if you started on a separate chapter page) and you can download a pdf to your device.

Technically the book chapters will be duplicates. Think of it like watching a TV show then you have the physical release of the Blu-rays. Those chapters came out of a manga magazine before they were compiled into a book. Single issues versus a graphic novel. Its kind of like how your manga comes about. It's on Shonen Jump before they put into a book
