They had an official Fakku app for android at least, but I believe it got pulled for adult content. You can still sideload the apk but I don't think it's being updated.

Can't use that app for the "premium" books.

I would imagine not, since it was created and then halted before such a thing existed. Honestly I haven't touched it in some time, not since the official releases and the new enhancements to their website's own reader.

So, terribly dumb question, but can someone point me in the right direction for downloading the books once an order has processed. I've dl'd Renai Sample three times, but everytime it finishes, it won't load properly. Am I missing something, or is there a better thread to field this concern?

Also, Daiz that new chapter select on the reader is tits. Thank you.

A more responsive scrolling for the mouse scroll wheel would be nice or at least a way to adjust the sensitivity. Being able to drag the page up and down with the mouse would be great.

The sensitivity thing is something I definitely want to add at some point, even if it means disabling native browser scrolling - I assume you're using Firefox, where the native wheel scrolling is really slow for some odd reason.

An official reader app for android and iOS would also be appreciated.

Sadly those stores really don't like adult content... but have you tried the reader on the site on your mobile device(s)? It's been built with those on mind, and at least on tablets the experience should be pretty nice (there should also be an update in time for the Punikano release that should increase performance especially on iOS).

This isn't really the thread for this - you should try mailing Jacob about it (jacob@fakku.net). Add details like how exactly is it not loading properly, what format you're trying to download etc.

Yep Firefox. The scrolling is fine for everything else, it's only slow with the reader for me.

I did, with Chrome and Firefox, with Firefox it just doesn't work at all most of the time, with Chrome it kinda works as long as I don't change the reading order.
A zoom option for tablets would also be appreciated.

Regarding the official app... it's going to take some time but the goal is to:

- Port this reader into the app.
- Login support with favorites / bookmarks.
- Premium book support.

In the mean time, I'd suggest using the reader in chrome for your premium book reading. It does scale based on screen size so it should work.

With the launch of PuniKano we've also pushed another update for the viewer. There isn't really any new features here, but the performance should now be notably better on mobile platforms, especially on iOS.

The issue with slow scrolling speed in Firefox has now been fixed.

You can expect some bigger updates later in December too.

Realistically speaking there is only so much we can support, especially if older devices are missing key features that make the reader work in the first place.

However, if you have the digital version, you should always be able to download a DRM-free copy and use a comic reading software with that on your mobile device. Or if there isn't one, get a PDF version. Or if those don't work you could even extract the images from the ZIP/CBZ version, transfer the images to your device and use the default image viewer (or any other image viewer) that the device has.

So there are no plans for a iOS and Android app?
That would be much better for phones and tablets, being able to read a 200 page manga without draining half of the battery.

Well, there's a pretty big roadblock for having apps on said platforms - an official FAKKU app would be essentially a porn app, and neither the Apple App Store nor Google Play likes to have those in their stores. And while you can distribute apps for Android outside Google Play (which is sadly still quite the hurdle for casual users as it requires people to manually allow 3rd party app installations), an iOS app would only be possible on jailbreaked devices.

Is there a possibility of deactivating the reader and just look at the bought doujinshi like any other on the site? It sadly works not that well on my Android Phone (Samsung Galaxy Note II). It's not loading fast enough for my reading speed and thus it sometimes won't load the next page and that kinda annoying. Plus, it does react to the left side of my screen worse than my right. For certain reasons I like to hold the phone with my left hand only while reading the doujinshi and that makes it super uncomfortable.

Also if you click 'My Account' on the top right of the site and click 'Books' from the drop down list, you'll be taken to a page that lists just the books you've purchased.

Fixed! You should now be able to read the book without any problems.
