What happened to the Toshio Maeda remasters?

So a while ago I was working on the Wikipedia article for Urotsukidoji. There was an article on ANN about the Kickstarter and I noticed this; "Other manga included in the project include: La Blue Girl, Demon Beast Invasion, and Adventure Kid. Fakku will post more details soon."

Do FAKKU still plan for these to go ahead? I haven't heard anything about them since.

I would be interested in La Blue Girl.

Sadly I think it's because it wasn't as successful as Toshio and/or Fakku hoped it would be. They likely took it as the interest isn't really there and doing more isn't worth the effort. Disappointing as I think La Blue Girl would have done quite well. Publishing through Kickstarter has also gained a lot of momentum these last few years. However as years have passed without a peep, I'm not holding my breath amymore.

I guess you are somewhat right, as they didn't meet the stretch goal for Maeda to update the artwork.

Still, I would like to hear what's really going on from them. And I have to say I have an issue with them saying one thing and doing another. They did the same with the whole hentai streaming thing which never really happened.

I wouldn't have had so much of an issue if they said something along the lines of "depending on how successful the project is, other works of Maeda would be considered" but it was worded like it was going to happen regardless.
