People have gotten name changes a lot longer than a week after requesting it.

Is it really that hard to allow a one time name change in the Profile section instead of pm'ing mods?

I've been waiting months, long enough to have given up and taken PDBM as my name here and it's almost definitely not going to change, after pming Jacob, Nikon and Waar (I don't think he's a mod anymore, but he was back then. I even shot Jacob an email or 2, but after 2 weeks I just went along with it. I advise you do the same, much less stressful, plus, it's just a name, and they're just labels on boxes ultimately, they don't really influence the contents.

Well, my ban escalated from 3 days to a week, and I have to email Jacob PERSONALLY because it was ridiculous. Point is, keep bugging him until he's fed up with it.

Mods can't change user names, only someone with access to the database can and I think that's only Jake.
