About Meet and Greet section

Somehow, I think it's better to turn off the post count for that section. I feel like the content there is no different than IB, just bunch of guys saying "Welcome" and nothing at all.
More like a free-to-spam section.

I agree. it's an easy way for new users to spam their way to rep ability. along that line, i think 15 is too low. fifty would be better i think.

i really don't see why post grieving is even an issue.
Besides the waifu game it really holds no significance. Fakku is the only site; every other forum doesn't give a shit because it doesn't matter.

For some people to see it as some sort of E-peen, mostly.
Fakku's not the only forum to use such a system, but must be one of the only forums to give a shit about seeing it gone.

Actually, there are 2 perspectives in which I can provide with regards to turning on or turning off the post count in the Meet and Greet section.
1) As the thread starter has mentioned, some users may try to clock up their post count by greeting new members in the Meet and Greet section, sometimes with merely generic or simple posts.
2) However, if we were to turn off the post count, there will not be as many members to provide these new users with a warm welcome. Of course, we can argue that it is better to receive a few sincere welcomes than lots of generic replies, but do the new users know this?
I have been on a few other forums in the past, and the same situation has cropped up for their "Meet and Greet", "Introduction" section.
Lastly, please feel free to send us a PM or report any user who is suspected of spamming in the Meet and Greet section. Appropriate action will be taken against said user.

IB and CTFG has no post count, and people still post there.

I actually really like the Reputation System. Because in most cases it shows you that a post is worth to be read/watched. Furthermore you can see which persons are the best contributers to the community. It is just a very nice method to give feedback to someone.

We've talked about this in the past and we don't want to lessen the amount of users welcoming others in the section. While I don't agree with that line of thinking Jacob has already decided post count will stay in the section. Ill direct him to the thread but I dont think you should get your hopes up people.

I mean, just look at IB! No post count there and people still post there. A whole lot.

I guarantee if it wasn't worth post count there would be a decline in the number of users posting in that section.
