Is there any possibility of enabling the use of American Express cards in the near future? I would honestly love that. I hate having to use more than one card for anything at all lol

A little unrelated, but Amex is the bane of my existence. We don't take them at work but people use them under the assumption that we do. Then when the machine declines it we have to abort the card payment and put it through again. It's a bloody hassle.
The reason a lot of retailers don't take Amex is because Amex likes to charge more for using it than other card types, like Visa. It's also why some even have a minimum spend on card. Contactless was recently introduced to reduce these fees, as well as making transactions go through much more quickly for the cardholders. So if Fakku doesn't take Amex, that's probably why.

We cannot accept American Express due to their strict rules against the purchase of online adult material / services. In the year 2000, American Express decided to ban the use of their card on adult sites, issuing the statement:
"Digital adult content just has unacceptably high levels of customer disputes," Postemsky says, "and that raises our administrative costs because we have to bear the expense of handling those disputes."
