Asking for permission to make a T-Shirt
0
Okay... Because I can't buy the Fakku! T-Shirt via internet (there are many circumstances) I want to make 1 on my own.
Here's the design tha I planned

LEFT : From Front
RIGHT : From Back
Is it allowed? Seeing that Jacob owns the copyright of fakku and it's mascot, Momoka. I also want to ask permission to the one who make the pic....

Well, the Momoka art is the property of the artist... yeah.
As to the shirt, they'll be sold again soon, but there's an announcement coming soon about how/where/etc. :o

Well, not that I want to be the "downer" here or anything, but I'm doubting Jacob actually owns the copyright to Fakku. He may own a site called Fakku, and own the domain Fakku.net, but other than that Fakku is a name, and can be braned for use by anyone regardless of Jacob's permission. That is unless he does have it copyrighted, but it costs quite a chunk of change to copyright anything.
I imagine the same goes for the artist who drew Momoka. No copyright means you don't really own anything.
I mean don't get me wrong, it is simple courtesy to ask permission, but not legally required unless their is a copyright trademark.

Well, I'm guessing he does own the LOGO, which appears to be the design for the proposed shirt.Well yes, and no. Ownership and copyrights on the internet are an extremely tricky business. Mostly because people create websites, post creations and stuff, without any knowledge of the copyright system in the United States. There are a lot of people who believe they own, they do, but have no idea what that actually means.
It's almost impossible to force copyright on the internet to begin with. Technically speaking, at least as protocol, Jacob doesn't have to copyright anything. I mean technically speaking, as soon as an item is posted on the internet it is copyrighted, but you have to actually own a copyright to be able to apply damages or anything.
So I guess I worded that properly, Jacob technically copyrighted a lot of Fakku related design and what not without doing anything, but he has no power to enforce that copyright. So for all intended purposes, he really doesn't own anything.
Jacob couldn't go "Hey! Someone is linking information directly from Fakku. I'm going to sue them!"

Nothing is going to come to come of it if you do, but getting Jacob's blessing is still a nice gesture.
