Is the "Netori" tag being used wrong?

First, I'm sorry if this has come up before. Did a quick search and didn't see it, and I know I'm not the only one it's aggravated.
I want to try and make something clear. Is it netori when the MC (main character) of a story is stolen away? I've always thought "no" and have seen many agree with me in the comments of content tagged as "netori".
In many other places I've always seen "netori" defined by when the MC is the one who steals the significant other of someone else, or in other words, the MC is the "winner". It is NOT when he/she is broken by circumstance or their own stupidity and stolen away themselves. That is either netorare or just plain cheating.
Once or twice is no big deal, but this complaint can be seen in well over half the stories tagged as netori(with several upvotes of support), and since I've never seen anyone respond on behalf of the site and the problem keeps repeating, I thought I'd go out on a limb and post something here. I'm honestly not looking to cause trouble, I just thought it was something worth bringing to someone's attention.
I'll just end with a few examples to try and cut down the confusion. "Middle Daughter's Circumstances" and "After the Mistaken Wager" are two that I feel do not fit the Netoti tag, while "Pure Love Revenge" is one that I feel fits it perfectly.

Netori means "stealing someone else's partner" or "homewrecking," while netorare means "cheating with." Someone made a chart.
Technically, what is going on is pretty much the same thing, but the point of view changes. From the girl being taken (netorare) to the guy taking the girl (netori). Cheating is without the other person knowing so let's say wife is banging the next door neighbor but the husband is unaware that be cheating but if the husband is outside the window or the guy is showing it live on a tv then it would be Netorare. I think if the husband is in the room and he in to his wife getting dicked it just considered cuckolding but not netorare..Even though netorare s cuckholding. I think the mind break aspect is the key on differentiating it. Might just be better to say swinging in that case.

The mind break or just lack of control really is the thing. When a story is tagged Netori and told from the girl's point of view, she shouldn't be the one to end up forced or broken. That's Netorare, right? Even without her guy finding out what happened to her it would still be Forced, but Netori means that the person with the point of view should be the one in control.
Look at "Middle Daughter's Circumstances". The girl is telling the story, it's her point of view, but a guy forces himself on her until she likes it. She's never the one in control, and definitely not the one that wanted to cheat, but it's Netori? That's the kind of thing I'm talking about.

Wow I think that this needs to be stated more often. The definitions need more clarification and you might be the guy to do it. Tag clarification can go along way.

Yeah. That's what netori means.
Netori is the protag doing the netorare, vs the protag being the person who gets netorared.
Dude being the one stolen away is reverse ntr, as it's reverse genders to normal.
Literal definitions of the words are:
Netorare: To be cuckolded/ being cuckholded
Netori: To cuckold somebody.
Thus, ntr where the male is the protag, but is corrupted, and his wife finds out, and is distraught is reverse ntr.
Then the ones with the protag being the person corrupting said person, that is netori
