Direct link to battle from start page

I think there should be a link to the current battle thread from the start page, right now the fastest way to get to the battle is voting, even if you have already voted, voting again is still the best way to reach the battle thread (except for bookmarks of course).

The problem is, i want to read the thread and see the pictures before voting!! The current layout encourages voting before participating in the discussion.

That's what the Motemote section is for, isn't it? For pictures and stuff. You want pictures, the Motemote character support threads are what you're looking for, not the individual battle threads, and that's where most of the discussion is located. Debate on the character battles doesn't happen till further later where the obvious win and the major contenders start duking it out.
