The moment I stepped into the Incoherent Babbling board, I am bombarded with all sorts of insults, offers to do me in the butt, and I even get accused of being gay. I would suggest finding a place you think you can be most comfortable in, OP; pretty much stating the obvious here though. The vibe is different in various areas, like with most online communities.
For example:
I began my own journey through Fakku in the "Serious" Discussion area, but I soon found out that the sort of atmosphere there hadn't really gotten into the direction that was suitable to my personal serious/controversial discussion tastes. Now I reside in the Visual Novel community because of similar interests.
You are very welcome for this very brief, very boring story.
