we need download for subscription please, we are paying and we still dont get to download, either create a different membership which includes downloads or allow us downloads on the current premium membership but i need download

First off, in the future it would be preferable to make a new thread instead of digging up an old largely unrelated one from 2012.

Onto the main matter then: downloads are unlikely to ever happen for the subscription due to the fact that it gives you access to all the released magazine chapters, and it wouldn't really be feasible business-wise for us to allow someone to subscribe for just a month, download everything (currently over 300 chapters and growing) and then stop subscribing right after.

We will most likely start selling individual magazine issues at some point, which you could buy like books and get downloads for, but it will be a separate thing from the subscription itself.

Yes, the books are downloadable after purchasing them.

Yes, when you buy a book you get unlimited DRM-free downloads for it, currently in two resolutions (2600/3200 pixels vertical), each with three formats (zip/cbz/pdf). You'll also be able to always read it online whenever you want.

What about allowing people to dll limited amount of chapters.
so if someone subscribes they get 10 dll and if they want more then they have have to pay extra abd have it on a tier based.
i.e
$1 gives 5 dll
$5 gives 30 dll

I like the magazine dl option better. Say x for non subscribers and y for subbers. Y is less than X.

How about this: the user can unlock the download function by staying subscribed for some time, e.g. you can only download content if you are subscribed to fakku for at least one year without a break. This would eliminate the whole subscribe for a month and download everything scenario and would motivate the users to stay subscribed, otherwise they would loose their download privileges

I personally am okay with not downloading, but another thing might be subscribers have the option to download one or two manga a month. Then maybe a loyalty thing to increase it to 3 or something, idk, change the numbers as you will. It would prevent someone from dl'ing all the chapters instantly and subscribers could still have their favorites saved to their hard drive (although they'd have to make potentially tough decisions).



This is okay, but if a user can't pay for a month because of money or whatever, they break the chain and are penalized for it. Also, waiting for a year is a long time and I doubt a lot of people have the patience when they just want their hentai on their hard drive now.

Can't you just make a script that downloads all of the images in a chapter? Waterflame did something like that before the purge.
