Easier captchas for TOR browser plz?
0
Hi! My preferred browser to access Fakku.net would be the Tor Browser if not for the almost impossible and unending sequence of captchas for every log in. Did you specifically choose to make it almost impossible to log in though Tor? If not, would you be able to decrease captcha difficulty? Or even remove them?

Somehow I don't think Fakku opting for the image Captcha was intended to exclude any genuine person trying to log in to their account. With the variety of browsers each doing their own thing it's impossible for every feature to work on every browser, in some cases by active choice of the developer.
The TOR Browser in general seems to have a history of encountering issues with Captcha, with a fair amount of results for "Tor browser captcha" and a bunch of search suggestions relating to that. I'm not familiar with TOR but one comment from here states:
I don't know if this is relevant to you since the site uses image-based captchas, not text.

This is a common issue, because of other people using the same exit node to solve captchas. You can request a new Tor circuit for this site at the top left, or by the shortcut CTRL + SHIFT + L. It might take a few tries to get a working node, but you should eventually get there.

I see... I'll definitely try out switching exit nodes a few times then!
My understanding of captchas is that they're a third party service provided to Fakku by Cloudflare (? maybe). And they give different risk levels to different users. Tor is an anonymizing network, so naturally they give Tor users a much higher level of risk. Users with higher risk levels are given more and harder captchas to solve. I'm just hoping that Fakku could switch that off. You need an account to post anyway and people actually pay for the access, so the risk to the site isn't that great.

Well tor isn't for browsing the clear web anyways. Im surprise you can even use it on normal sites since it's really a spam and abuse browser. Im sure all those nodes have massive reports for spam, abuse, ddos and probley cp posting on the chans and non index sites. Problem shouldn't use it on a windows pc anyways. You can easily backtrack with js enabled.

Nonono, Tor is meant to be used for both, clearweb and .onion sites. There are some preconceptions about the Tor Browser, but the majority of Tor Browser users are just privacy conscious people. It is most definitely not just a spam and abuse browser. And, most of all, there is no reason to block it on a site you pay to access!

Your real ip is masked in tor just like vpn but atleast vpn has less abuse flags.

Just because you have a subscription doesn't mean you can throw your subscription weight around blaming the site for having issues viewing it on a specific browser. And a browser that has documented issues with the reCaptcha system, no less.
pay to access!
Absolutely false, the website is completely free to access. It's the hentai content outside of the Free tag you pay to read.

It is. But your subscription is irrelevant.

It's not. If I paid to access stuff here it's very unlikely that I'll start wreaking havoc. It's not in my interest. People who want to conduct an attack usually either don't have accounts or create throw-away accounts. You can just have the captcha on the account creation page, for example.

Currently it's a simple case of inputting an e-mail address, password, a tick box or two, and then verifying it using the e-mail address.
I think with the way it's currently set up it's meant to discourage making multiple accounts since you have to verify, with reCaptcha as a backup to make sure you're a human logging in to your account on return visits since under normal circumstances a human would have no problem solving it, as annoying as they are. Even then I don't think I've seen one lately, so I'm going to take a shot in the dark and say that it shows you them less often as you solve them. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Re-working that system because of a single browser having documented issues with a spam prevention system seems a bit much.

I don't even see why anyone would use tor outside of 'risky' uses, which even then it's terrible for. Especially for those who think it's the gateway to the dark net, despite it being heavily monitored

The captcha specifically on the login was a temporary measure put in place to mitigate some abuse that I saw happening. It'll be replaced by a more intelligent system on a later date. For the captcha that comes up via Cloudflare, we will not be turning that off as it's a preventive measure to counter a multitude of things from spam bots to ddos from known blacklisted IP addresses. That specific captcha is only shown when your IP address is known by Cloudflare to be associated with bad players. The captcha that is displayed by Cloudflare is to check if you are a real person or not to give your IP address a 'safer rating'.
When using TOR, you are more likely to get those security checks from Cloudflare on a large range of websites (since so many use cloudflare) due to the fact that many bots will run through TOR's network to mask their origin. If you wanna remain private on the web, I'd honestly recommend just switching to a private VPN ran by a company that doesn't log or sell your data. It'll give you a better browsing experience in general compared to TOR. In regards to why the captcha takes so long (never ending) when using TOR, it's because of the amount of bad players on the same node failing the captcha, increasing the risk rating.

And there I thought I was special for solving so many of them.

I absolutely agree with your point about trusted VPN services and I do use them. It's just that Tor is probably more secure, since in practice a lot of people who actually must have strong privacy use it (e.g. spies, criminals, etc). Not that I personally care that much to be frank.

It's really not more secure. It's probably one of the least secure methods, because of so many people trying to use it for bad things, and everything being heavily monitored
