Editing Problems

Ever since Fakku changed the comments format, I have
trouble whenever I try to edit a comment I already posted.
Specifically, when I try to change a sentence like:

"The quick red fox jumped over the lazy hound dog."

to:

"The quick red fox jumped
over the lazy hound dog."

It winds up looking like this:

"The quick red fox jumped

over the lazy hound dog."

with an unwanted gap between the lines.
How do I correct that?

Because when you hit enter/return the code adds a brk

Yes, but that never used to be a problem. I take my writing
seriously, and I like to edit and polish my comments (almost
obsessively), but now I can't do that anymore because of the
line break problem. It's very frustrating.

Delete and redo. Once it edit the br/code happens. I checked.

I'll take a look at this and get it fixed!

When I say I obsessively edit my comments, I'm not joking. Sometimes
I'll re-edit a comment 20 times or more until I get it just right. If I have to
delete it and redo it entirely each time, that'll take all day, especially if it's
a long comment.

The unwanted line-break problem remains unfixed. Plus, I used
to be able to provide hot links to Wiki articles and specific Fakku
chapters by re-editing a comment, but that doesn't work anymore,
either, so I'm really unhappy with the new comments format.

The store isn't working for me, either.
I can't buy anything (and I buy a lot).
