Forum Organization

We'll be making some changes to the forums this week, specifically to how forums are organized. These changes are meant to make things a little cleaner and some are necessary to finish our move into legitimacy (specifically the removal of Nosebleed and Requests).

Changes

Hentai Anime and Movie Discussion is being folded into Hentai Manga and Doujinshi Discussion, and then the new combined forum is being renamed to "Hentai". That new forum is being moved to the Special Interest category.

Visual Novels and Eroge is being moved to the Special Interest category.

At the end of December, Nosebleed will be removed.

The Requests forum has been removed moved to the Hentai forum.

The FAKKU Books forum, previously only visible to users that had purchased a book, will be visible to all users (including anonymous users). Only users that have purchased a book will be allowed to post.

The Subscription forum, previously only visible to subscribers, will be visible to all users (including anonymous users). Only users with an active subscription will be allowed to post.

The Merchandise forum was added to highlight new products added to the FAKKU Store and will serve as place to get feedback from users on new ideas.

You can now embed Tweets in forum posts with the following code:



Quality of Life

We'll be fixing all the issues with old posts showing broken BBCode and tags that no longer exist (specifically [color] tags).

Quick reply has been gone for a while now.

How about the requests? Has it been removed and contents put into the hentai forum pool?

Like the twitter tweet addition. Would be nice if you could add an icon similar to the youtube one for shortcut usage.

Nice changes though, this does seem more organized, and fuck yes for fixing color tags.

Sounds pretty good. Not sure if it's just me (haven't checked other browsers) but I'm seeing a duplicate bar at the bottom.

Nosebleed's removal for legitimacy I can understand, because image dumps of hentai from around the web doesn't exactly scream "This is legal shit right here". But Requests I don't get. Why is that getting removed?

That's all well and good, but Writing and Fanfiction is no longer at the bottom of the list of forums, which is throwing me off because I'm used to being able to just click the forum all the way at the bottom.

Because people can ask for content.

You could still technically do that anywhere else and/or through PMs but having an actual area dedicated to it breaks the legitimacy. Funnily enough, cleaning up the forums (by removing that section) will make the forums messier with new users posting request threads everywhere.

Exactly my concern. It doesn't stop the request threads it just fragments them to other sections.

Edit: Having said that, I guess Fakku can't be held accountable for its users asking for content sauces

Yeah I've noticed that as well, I think we'll bring the Requests forum back for the reminder of time scanlations are on the site. Bit of a miscalculation that one.

Entirely the wrong place for it, but, you can export your favourites list just above your favourites when you go into it. Then it'll save them all.
I'm assuming any achievement you have, you won't lose. Unless coding is a just on/off. But, probs won't lose favourites. From memory I've got a number that aren't even on the site anymore showing. But they are broken links when you click on them

Edit: semi ot: @Jacob in regards to the store, you should add a section for merch, or something, so you can flip down and get figures and skateboards, so you can reach them through there (it's probably already in the process of being coded, but still), also a way to get back to the fakku home page (not store home page) from the store, to make it a touch more streamlined.
