Forum Organization Idea

As you have no doubt noticed I have been working hard to make the forums easier to use, a big part of this is their organization. Often when forums are created this is overlooked, but in reality it is very important to make things as easy and sensible as possible.

So I had an idea and I want some honest opinions and suggestions about it.

Currently the User Uploads section has all of the upload subforums clumped together; Manga and Doujinshi, Games and CG Sets, Videos, and Flash Games. I had the idea of changing this so that each of the Upload forums were instead attached to their main forum.

For example there is a Hentai Manga and Doujin discussion forum, we would attach the Manga Upload forum to it. So the forums would look like this getting rid of the main User Uploads forum:

Manga and Doujinshi Discussion
-- User Uploads
Movie and Anime Discussion
-- User Uploads
Visual Novels and Eroge
-- User Uploads

Thoughts?

Yeah that would work. However on the other hand, people have most likely gotten used to the way it is. Some people may get thrown off by a sudden change (noobs).

I don't think there's anything wrong with the User Uploads, but your suggestion mght make things more efficient in the sense that everything isn't clustered together in one big subforum.

This could help members search for the stuff they want more efficiently.

There's always gonna be some better way to do things as time goes by, it's encouraging to know that the people who run this site are actively coming up with new ideas to improve the look and feel of their hard work.

But ya, I think this is a great idea if you have the time to invest in this.

I would welcome that change. Like it was said before, searching stuff would be so much easier than it is now.

What then of the CG Sets and Flash Games? I think they would seem a little lonely standing by themselves. Nonetheless, the idea is worth a shot, though we have to ensure that members post their topics and uploads in the main section and sub-section correctly.

I actually like it the way it is as the first thing I do when I come to the forums is check the uploads.
