Hidden Threads and Deleting Duplicate Threads

On August 6th I made this thread and got the maintenance page. Refreshing caused a duplicate thread to be made so I deleted the duplicate. Sometime later the original thread disappeared from the IB front page but the thread could still be accessed when a link for it was present on the forum front page. When you follow that link it takes you to page 2,117 of 1 within the original thread. I resolved the issue by making a new thread with a different name.
In summary, being redirected to the maintenance page when making a thread produces a duplicate thread. Deleting the duplicate will cause the original to become hidden but still accessible with a link such as the one above. When a link to the original is followed from the forum front page it bring you to an impossible page within the hidden thread.

The same happens when you write a fresh comment, hit "Post Reply" and get the Maintenance page.
It's a lose-lose situation.
- If you refresh, you double post.
- If you click Back and don't try again, the comment doesn't go through. (At least, not until someone else posts afterward)
- If you then proceed to write an entirely new comment, both the old "failed" comment and the new one go through at once.
It's a lose-lose situation.

Quick fix to that is you make a tab for your reply and make another tab for the board / thread you are replying to.
If you stumble upon the maintenance page, you can refresh the other tab to check.
But then again, I do agree that this issue should be fixed.
