Login Password Glitch

when ever i log in, it prompts me to enter a new password. if i avoid this by clicking any of the red bar menu option, i can get to my profile and am in fact already logged in. why does it keep asking me to change my password?

i made my account and went dormant for a while and forgot my password, so i had to get a new one sent to my email. once i was back in, i changed it again to one i'd remember rather than the computer generated assigned one.
maybe i'll change it again to see what happens.

i only just got around to changing my password, and it no longer asks me to change it after loging in.
