I don't know if this has already been addressed or not, so I'll just set this here.
I don't think I'm the only one having this problem, but every time I load up a new page, or click on a link on Fakku, I see Momoka about 75% of the time. It gets to be rather annoying, having to constantly press F5 just to reload the page off of the Maintenance page and most of the time I get to see Momoka once again... I don't know if there's something I can do with my browser, or if it's just the server.
I'm just stating my frustrations, and bringing this to some kind of light.

I get it too. Not really much to say about it except it's a little annoying.

Been getting from earlier this morning (different timezone from Yuri) so I assume both Yuri and I were experiencing this around the same time.

Jacob is already using a caching and load-balancing service, so there's not much to be done and little that can be.
FAKKU can't take donations, Jacob doesn't want to put any part of the site beyond a paywall while advertizers pay what they do, which is what keeps the site going now.

Over the past month traffic on FAKKU has increased by about 20%. While that is awesome, it also means we are going to need to upgrade things soon or figure out a new way to bring in more revenue.

I made some configuration changes that will alleviate the load some. If these changes don't have enough of an effect, then I've got a couple more tricks up my sleeve (the last one is just ponying up for a second application server, which will definitely work).
Sorry about the slow response.

Tis not slow at all, your response. We all thank you for your work. :3

I fear the current speed may be because the 20 minutes of accidental downtime drove off the majority of tonight's users. I'll keep an eye on it and see how things hold up; the other possible changes I can make will drive Jacob bonkers and will probably take the weekend to set up, so I'm really hoping this does the trick.

Well, the Waifu game will be the test for your new configurations. Hopefully it holds out. :3

I have cash and no girl to drain it.

The person to ask might be unpantsu, rather than Jacob. But I guess the question's already out there for him(unpantsu) to see.

It's a technical issue, not a cash issue. Some things will have to be moved around before we can properly leverage multiple application servers, is all (and we'd have to come up with a new workflow for changes to get pushed to 'em). Don't worry, I've got it all under control (usually).

Luddite as I am, I've no idea what you've just said, but if you say you've got it under control- all the well.
