My New Banner Suggestions

I saw it suggested some where that you guys might hold a banner contest somewhere on this forum and it got me thinking... you guys really could use a new banner lol
But for the life of me I couldn't find a thread about this anywhere so here I am =)
... and its not that yours isn't great but I think maybe it could be better. In any case this is coming from a guy with ZERO banner experience ( made one for a forum once but all I did was stretch a single render across it haha ) but I thought I would throw down two that I put together in like 10'ish minutes and see if maybe some of the more talented people wanna post ones they have made and who knows maybe an admin type person might pick up on it XD

Just some ideas... let me know what you think! =)

the 2nd one is pretty good. i think i still prefer the current banner though just because its a little simpler/less crowded. but still, good job

heh thanks guys as always for the positive feedback.. the thing to understand is that my internet is broken beyond reason ( I am wondering if it will go down before I finish typing this actually.. ). In any case I just threw those banners together with various renders and whatever fonts I had on my PC so even if someone running the site did like either of them I would still want to put some more work into them haha
now as for the individual comments..
Gizmo >> Actually I am far better in flash then in photoshop haha photoshop I am just learning as I go.. but flash I actually got paid to do at one point and it would be quite easy to make a flash banner there I might do one for amusement XD
.. oh and thanks for positive on the "All hentai all the time" to be honest I couldn't think of what the actual slogan for fakku was so I improved haha =)
Lurking & Azumax >> I do agree the second one is definately a crowded but I was just going for something different with that one. The first one on the other hand isn't much different then the current banner I just used color background pages and a character on each side. But I do appreciate the feedback.. either of you have an idea as to how I might make it better?

... anyways now that this is long already so I will just say this quickly.. I was expecting/hoping to see some creations from true photoshop experts as I have seen some really good sig artists on this site who I am sure could run circles around me and I wanna see it! =)

I am a horrible admin for not seeing this post earlier.
Arrancar awesome job on these banners! The banner contest will actually start sometime soon, maybe tomorrow? Someone get on the IRC and remind me about it tomorrow and I will get it started.
The second one is definitely my favorite of the two. All the characters look awesome but I do think it is a bit too cluttered. Once the contest starts there will be no requirements, but at the moment I really like the manga pages as a background with color images in front of them. Maybe incorporate that into your next one?
